Vegan Supplements
This is relevant to my previous post but it seems I can't add an attachment to a reply, only an original post. However, as the supplement I take at the moment contains iodine I should stop using it as there's a suspicion I may have Hashimoto's. As I'm vegan I've been using the vegan societies VEG 1,

Non- Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism - causes
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with non- Hashimoto’s 25 years ago at the age of 25 when my GP was looking for an explanation for severe headaches that I’d had since I was a child. I had my TSH tested which came back as 25 with no antibodies present. One thing I’ve never had an answer to is what the cause

Advise post radio iodine treatment
Last August I had radio iodine treatment for a multi node thyroid, and havent really been 100% well since . Tingling in feet and hands , funny headaches and feeling wobbly . My Endocrinologist has checked thyroid function regularly and said function is within normal limits . Last bloods TS H 0.58

Any advice? Can’t take carbimazole
Hi all. Mine is a bit of a long story but I’d be interested in your thoughts. At the beginning of June, I started having palpitations, racing heart rate, breathlessness etc. Went to GP who did a whole bunch of bloods. All were normal except: TSH <0.02 [0.3-5] free t3 42.2 [3.1-6.8] I was put on 40mg

Levo only
Out of interest, does anyone on here get on okay with just levothyroxine if you can find the right dose? I have had thyroid problems since I was thirteen and been undertreated (although diagnosed CFS) since I had RAI when I was 17. I honestly don't know what normal feels like, how will I know when I

Any advice on a good multivitamin support
After RAI I take 125mcg levo which seems to be balanced out, my energy levels and physical capabilities are not the same as before. I'm due for another blood test soon but wondered if there's a multivitamin to help keep me optimal. I've seen that i can get a discount using a Thyroid UK discount code

Please help , im in Northern Ireland - Anyone find a really good Endo here? (Any info by private message please)
I've finally managed to get through to my GP -(hurrah! must have be a moment when my brain fog cleared)- to agree to give me a referral to see an endo. My Gp has very limited knowledge of thyroid issues , and treating by TSH only, so my symptons over the years following RAI in 2008 have been getting

Surgery or Radioactive Iodine Treatment?

Immune system post-TT or RAI?
If you 'resolved' Graves with TT or RAI some time ago - do you feel like your immune system calmed down after? Or do you feel it got worse? In theory thyroid antibodies should decrease after thyroid removal, but I wonder if an immune system messed up enough to attack one organ might just pick a different

8 years of not knowing
Hello. In 2012 I was diagnosed with graves disease. Carbimazole wasnt helping and I was given RAI and now have UAT. For 8 years they have struggled to get my dosage right, I've been as low as 25mcg of thyroxine and I am currently on 275mcg thyroxine. This changes constantly. My most recent bloods show

Duloxetine . Side effects ?
I have finally seen a Consultant after a year of failed appointments etc. As I am in my late seventies I saw a Gerontologist (don't know if this is right) and what it boils down to is my taking of NDT . The elephant in the room . I have a tremor and don't sleep because of you guessed it . My NDT . I

Hypo symptoms flare after RAI, anybody?
P.S. Would love to hear from fellow post-RAI sufferers. Has anyone also experienced a sudden accumulation of symptoms years after, like exhaustion, joint pains, swollen belly, tinnitus, brain fog &weight gain, eyesight change. (I think they're all covered...) I feel like I've aged at least 10 years in

what vitamins, minerals are good for joint pain linked to hypo.?
In 2018 my hypo symptoms, many years after RAI (in 2010) -- some weight gain and tiredness -- worsened quickly, starting with stiff finger joints. Then in one month I gained 7 kilos while eating very lightly. 2 months later, back pain from stiffness. So I know it's not due to arthritis. My last endo

Iodine drops
Hi, I’ve heard from few natural holistic practitioners that taking iodine drops daily helps with thyroid illnesses to boost energy levels. Can anyone elaborate or have any useful info regarding it or experience in taking iodine drops for their thyroid health. Thanks

TSH after RAI treatment.
Just wondering is there a pattern to how the TSH performs following RAI treatment. I had RAI in 2008. Presently my TSH is very low/suppressed. As to be expected my Gp has reduced my levo from 100 to 75 mcg. And seeing Greygoose most comprehensive response to Supul , I know my thyroid has been mismanaged
