I just got my labs back which said I have "undetectable (serum) iodine? I keep hearing how the only method to test is through urine, but because of my experience in the past with a high dose iodine attempt, that petrifies me! It had been in the upper 20s for a year or more, but it has not dropped to

Whats the treatment for multinodular goitre with normal TSH and subclinical T4? (like one point above low T4)
anyone got any experience of having a goitre? I am wondering whether they treat with surgery or radioactive iodine in the uk? or whether they will give me thyroxine according to my terrible symptoms even though my numbers are bottom range normal?

Hi there everyone, I had a total thyroidectomy last November after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer and have since been on levothyroxine to replace it (I didn't have radioactive Iodine as I was classed as a low risk case) I am still trying to get my dosage right but am not happy with how I'm being

Help understanding my Iodine lab result
Hello group, I need help, please. I have hypothyroidism and beginning the 22nd of July I started taking 50 mg of Lugol 5%. A week later, I went for a test for my iodine level. In France, my lab doesn't do iodine "loading" test. They took it by blood and the result is as such: 3 455,0 µg/l

Advice please on medication
Hi can anyone offer advice again please? After radio iodine treatment I was put on Levo in increasingly greater quantities to combat hypothyroidism. I reacted badly to Levo with itching and insomnia and hypo symptoms persisted. Out of desperation my gp gave me a Private script for NDT starting on Naturethroid

T3 Dosage
My friend had a complete thyroidectomy 10 years ago. Since that time she has been on 200 mg of Levothyroxine. She continued to have debilitating symptoms such as weight gain and low energy levels so she researched the T3 route and decided that she wanted to try it. When I asked her about her dosage

Climbed onto a garden bench to try to see which one of my cats was having a dust up with female cat next door, to only come too on the ground where I had face planted the patio, must of

INTERESTING appointment with consultant
I had appointment today with doc, I wanted to discuss if OK to supplement with iodine.....I am hypo....He said to me that as I had been taking levothyroxine for nearly twenty years , my thyroid would absolutely not be functioning at all......so it would make no difference to my overall health.
