Any nine have hyperthyroidism? I am suspected of having this as I had done very dodgy TSH and T3 results and am having further blood tests a day after my next injection. I read somewhere that iodine can make hyperthyroidism work and since it’s squirted straight onto the eye prior to an injection I wonder if it was absorbed at all and is actually not helping my situation. I am having a blood test the next day for more thryroid antibodies and wondered if anyone else have hyperthyroidism and if so do you have iodine before an injection. TIA

I don’t know, may be worth contacting the Macular society.
I have hyperthyroid for 25 years ( controlled by pills ) and been very healthy I have injections for eyes (wet) every 12 weeks I have a small drop iodine in each eye and have for years Too much iodine is painful after numbing drops wear out I believe it’s same for others like me but I don’t think hyperthyroid makes any different and hopefully it will be ok for you .
