Second day of our 7-day, 5 Tibetan Rites Challenge!

Most of us who have gone these Rites before have reconnected with this movement practice: muscle memory is a great thing!

So this second day will be about starting that pattern of a daily practice!

Also great to hear about everyone doing alternate versions and chair versions.

So I have put together again a different set of videos, and if you want to look back of what we have done so far, links to our prior days will be at the bottom of this post.

So here we go:

★★★ WARM-UP ★★★

Just in case you need a warm up, here’s a new warmup, a little old the video but some different ways to warm up your limbs:

👀👀👀 MAT-BASED MODIFICATIONS: Remembering Wholeness (10 min) The 5 Tibetan Rites / A Beginners Guide

This instructor has some very good alternative versions for beginners or those who struggle, but all mat based. She has some great explainers.

👀👀👀 WITH AN OPTION OF A CHAIR BASED VERSION: Posture IQ (20 min) Five Tibetan Rites Explained WITH Modifications

Here is a different demonstration including chair based versions of each rite, with plenty of options for each one. It’s not excacy follow along but she does ca 2-3 reps, so one can just about follow along.

The chair based alternative is the last modification of each rite, so for those doing these on a chair, you might have to watch each rite’s 1 to 2 other modifications until she gets there (she also forgets to film one, which is cute)

This video is part of a challenge and videos exist for each number of reps. This is the video for 2 reps.

Done! I liked the simple warm up. Used video 1 this morning and I loved the variations and easier versions, especially Rite 2 which I find hard. Will look at the other videos after work. Thank you very much CBDB 😀👍

Yeah, 2 is hard. Nice thing to experience though is that when I did these last year, they were so much harder!

Well, I managed to do them twice with 3 and four reps. A chair based version with the second video sitting on the bed this morning and another set following the first video after my rowing session early evening. Tadaaa!

How is everyone faring?
