I’m not fast, but I got all distances done and I’m pretty chuffed about this mornings 10k!

Haven’t rowed a 10k in one session since more than a year, so took it slow and steady and got it done! The Olympic rowing on the telly also helped!!!

Well done - that's a long time to row!

I haven't watched a single second of any Olympic event - how far did they row with you today?

They only rowed a piddly, Olympic distance of 2k! 🤣🤣🤣 But we met at the 500m-before-final mark, which was nice!

But boy! Men’s races clock up to 49 Strokes per minute, women’s also well into 40s, with my max being 37. I don’t know how 49 is humanly possible!

Well, I guess that equates to my 5k run two weeks ago, and my 6k last weekend: the pros were possibly a tad ahead of me ...

(I remember my one and only Park Run - a there and back - and seeing runners coming back towards me WAY in advance of the half way point and thinking ... "say, what?!" but realising they had 30-40 years on me!🤣)

lol! I am usually in the slowest 5%, both in rowing and running. So speed has stopped mattering to me completely. However improvement on my prior time is always very satisfying to hunt for!

I’m a proud member of the back of the pack! And the runners/rowers high afterwards is just the same! 😀😀😀😀

Well done for that Parkrun. I still have only done notParkruns. Happy running!
