One of the goals I set myself for January was to complete the six sessions of the beginner Qi Gong programme on Ekhart Yoga and I am pleased to have done it.
I don't feel that it provides the 'strength and flexibility' work that I need, compared with yoga but it was in many ways enjoyable to do (although I always find it tough to try to follow instructions for movement) and I shall be incorporating elements into regular practice. The nausea I experienced early on did improve (although showed up for the final practice... but I did do that the evening after an afternoon 5k run)

Really interesting...I am going to find out more about it. I'm glad the nausea abated too.
It seems to have been very successful, if you are building it into your routine.
Mr OF and I did our first T"ai Chi class ..it was super..the newcomers were catered for in a small group.. .coming together with the larger more experienced folk for the warm up and the closing calm.
Very well organised and with videos of different moved to use at home, for practice.
Looking forward to our best class...and we were assured if we wished to sit at any time..that was fine.
So pleased that you enjoyed your Tai Chi session 👍😊 I used to do Tai Chi many years ago and want to start again. There is a class within 5 mins walking distance, so no excuse really!! But worried because I am so tired in the evenings after school I am not sure if I will manage. Just need to go for it!
I did a class for a term about 25 years ago and took it it immediately. Why on earth I have not gone back to it, I have no idea! Am doing the 10 minute tai-chi warm up everyday now and it's lovely. Need to improve my shoulder before I do more, but I wish I had a local class!
Ekhart Yoga. It's a paid subscription but there is a free trial period (and from what I recall they do not ask for your payment details upfront so there is no risk of forgetting to cancel and ending up paying!) They do offer some of their classes free, and you'll also find some of their classes on YouTube but I don't know if that includes any of the Qi Gong.
Yes, if you put Ekhart Yoga into a search engine and go to the website. Because I have a paid subscription already it doesn't give me links for the free trial.
