Another curved ball 😐

Things had been going well !I was at the gym 2x a week for strength and Cardio ( also included a 30 minute treadmill run)

But I have hurt my back again .

I think this is the 3rd of 4th time now since my heart attack in February.

It's quite painful at the moment and I have needed to add co codamol to my list of medications!

I have managed to get an appointment with my physio but it is next Tuesday.

It would have been October 10th but he has now had a cancellation for Tuesday so I grabbed that !

I'm certainly frustrated with hurting it again but accept where I am which is a significantly better place than I was in in February!

Although I need to get to the bottom of why this keeps happening.

Ahh well, these things are sent to try us .

So at the moment the gym , running , walking are all on hold as just getting around the house is enough of a challenge 😐

Despite this, I still remain positive πŸ™‚

I am so sorry Ian about that recurrence of your back pain, you can't even get a short walk,, just around the house, I just hope that your physio can sort things out next Tuesday

Thanks Alan, I managed to get out of the house to the local shop yesterday but was quite uncomfortable

So sorry to read this, Ian. I feel like typing a few choice swear words! Glad you’re remaining positive, though. Hopefully it won’t be a major setback.

Oh my, so sorry to read this. You're really not having much luck are you Ian? Is it possible you overdid things in the Gym?Hopefully the physio can get you sorted. One thing I can say is that my Pilates classes seem to be helping me with my back issues.

Impressed that you can stay positive though. A certain scene from Monty Pythons Life of Brian comes to mind... πŸ˜‰

Hi Birdlady, you are so right about pilates, I've been using exercises for a lot of years to help with back ache, and it's only recently that I found out that they are Pilates πŸ₯Ί, I generally do some before I have a workout and first thing in the morning, it hasn't got rid of it but keeps it under control.

What a shame. You could do without this. Hope the physio can give you some appropriate treatment and advice/exercises to strengthen the bits that are presently not right.

Great to remain positive in the face of all this. And that's a pretty swift appointment as these things go. Hope physio gets things moving again.

I totally understand about back pain, it's one thing I don't mention much, but it is always following me like a spectre, but I think I have been a bit lucky, as I'm just keeping mine in the background, but I notice it every time I stand up or sit down, but I'm keeping it well in the background, it is so debilitating, you cannot seem to do anything when it's bad, it affects every part of your life, so fingers crossed for you for Tuesday, πŸ™

Thanks Peter , Yes, it's a painful time and so so slow to recover from.

Hoping Tuesdays appointment brings a bit of relief 🀞

Sorry to hear this Instructor57. Good luck with the physio ! Might it be worth seeing your GP to get a referral to a back specialist given it’s happened a few times?
