Last night was my SOSA dance class and it is my mega workout day. I have got into a routine of a 5km walk to the gym a 30 min weights session, stop for a cuppa then into my 45min Sosa class.
I find it hard to get going for exercise in the afternoon. I have a natural slump in my energy around 3-4pm and it is a push to get myself out the door but having the class booked helps. By the time I have walked down to the gym I am buzzing and ready to go.
I have added in the assisted pull up machine to my gym workout now. One of the lovely personal trainers taught me how to use the machine properly and I have been doing that for three weeks now and it really does tone up a few more muscles in the shoulder area and give a great upper body workout all by itself.
Shake your tail feathers is my favourite sequence in my Sosa class. It is a jive and is fast paced, I try to keep up but i am not very coordinated but it just makes me smile and I do the best I can. All the people in the class are nice and it is very friendly, we have two men too , so not just for the ladies.
So glad that you are enjoying all your excersises including running, I am all for nostalgia with my running, this morning for the umpteenth time I reran, run 3 of week 9 of C25K with Laura. 30 minutes non stop running.
Thank you, it is great that you are still enjoying the C25k podcasts, Iβm upping my distances for my HM in May, the gym and dance are a nice little addition to my training. Rfc x
Some great moves in that video Rfc...sounds like you are having fun and mixing things up. Kudos on your gym work, sneaking in the walk to the gym and the SOSA class afterwards is genius.
You are going to be fit and strong for that HM in Mayπxxx
Thank you, we do a similar sort of routine to the video to that song, it really is fun and everyone is so supportive of my attempts π. My HM training is very different this year, less running. One long run once a week, one 20 or 30 min speed run and one brisk walk. It is the run/walk HM plan roseabi put up on Marathon for run/ walkers, slightly adapted for me. I already feel stronger in my training, which feels great. Rfc x
I as sitting here at the computer doing thinking....'I really need a bit of exercise' (been working all day so no chance for even a walk!). So I mention the video clip to my husband who then finds and plays it on the TV screen! Of course I try and join in with the moves, just what I needed!
I am impressed by your walk, gym and then exercise class all in one afternoon - that's very dedicated, well done I feel a bit silly asking this but what is a SOSA class?
I think I got it sometime last year for being able to put my socks on while stood up without wobbling, still working towards goal two which is to touch my toes. I guess It never showed up before as my admin badge was always there Rfc x
Thank you. I love to dance but have never tried salsa or the like, to me this is a great way to have a go but not feel to conscious about my lack of Co ordination π. Rfc x
Nice to see you continuing, and adding that pull up machine in. When I dance it often looks like an SOS call, βhelp! Get me off the dance floorβ followed by a nice glass of A... Iβm guessing this doesnβt count as SOSA though π€£π€£
