Sometimes we go further than we think!

Hello people...later today for me!

Clocking in again after a full strength and stamina day with small runner in training yesterday.

Learning and play, and lots of outside adventures...How many unicorns did you save yesterday!!! We saved two! I was pretty exhausted come bed time!

Today.... up early, in order to get Mr OF moving and get us to a hospital appointment.. CT scan..by 10.30 !

Woke at 6! But took our time to wake gently and when Mr OF went down to get cups of tea.. I used YWA to get me properly awake...

A gentle body scan too and the usual routines.

* The teeth cleaning squats are increasing and spurred on by  Gthants and mentions of calf raises etc... I added in a few just for luck with some ankle twists too!

* Some lovely big stretches to wake everything up, but not time for my 5 rites today!

Little back-pack packed with all the gubbins, water, snacks for Mr OF, in case we had to wait... and, after breakfast, out by 9.30, in order to negotiate the expected heavy, traffic and find a parking place at the hospital !

We sailed there!!! No hold ups and, wonder of wonders... three parking places to choose from in a car park where spaces never appear!

* A longish walk down to the Imaging department but, the sun was shining, Mr OF was feeling a lot happier than last evening... ( worrying about the scan)!

We walked down through the grassy- lined paths past the HUGE market stall outside the main entrance... so much fruit, down past the maternity home and in and out the many through ways to the building we wanted.. Then.. the corridors... long and all looking alike. Smiling faces, helpful folk and eventually, a waiting room which we were only in for a very short time! Called through, five minutes early, by a lovely lady with the most amazing array of tattoos on her arms ! J was quite taken and she , encouraging him, to go for it!!!

He was in the CT suite, five minutes … and then done and dusted... ! Back along a different set of corridors and out into the sunshine...we passed many folk but, ambling our way back up the slight inclines and loads of little steps back to the car, we might have been the only two folk in the world!

Headed home and amazingly , we had when I checked, covered just under a mile with our walking !

A successful excursion and a surprisingly pleasant walk in the bargain...Sometimes the exercises find us !

* Some gentle, meditative yoga this afternoon and I shall wind down with a body scan and some box breathing before sleep.

A day in the car tomorrow so, I shall need to get all my exercises in before I leave...and then.... I am looking forward to some walks, with Mr OF by the sea and along some flattish trails and.... maybe, just maybe, a slightly longer walk alone...just to test things out !

Sleep well or rest easy, everyone...

See you tomorrow...

If there is one thing I like even better than forest bathing, it's a walk by the sea. Enjoy to the full xxx

Yes indeed... some good walks, and there are a fair few low level, short trail routes that we have planned... and hopefully, I shall get some longer ones in solo... !

YWA will be very peasant too, on the decking overlooking the sea!

Thanks you... I hope things are going better for you! xxx

Two unicorns saved is a perfect but tiring day. The hospital visit went as smoothly as it could so rest now and enjoy your time by rhe sea

Phew, yes, and involved an awful lot of walking ; I have to say... it reminded me of pandemic exercise... out of the back door , around the back garden , along by the meadow area and then all around to the front gate, ( aka Magic portal), and around the front gardens!!!

That is further than you might suppose after repeated a few times!! Yes, the hospital folk were super and the grounds, which yesterday, I took a lot more notice of, were lovely!

Thank you.. looking forward to some good , sea air!

🍏 Saving 2 unicorns 🦄 🦄 will long be remembered & treasured! 🤩Glad the hospital visit was good in many different ways! Now for a well earned relaxing nights sleep with all the pleasures of a visit to the seaside to come. Safe travels & oh how we long for you to get that rejuvenating long walk in.. a prelude of all good things to come! ⭐️🤗🙏

Yes... it is a task... unicorns are a very special animal...luckily, small one does understand them!

Good morning! Sleep eluded us for a while...but came eventually. This morning the regular routines of exercise so far, are making a good start to the day!

I am, I have to say, just looking forward, to taking the walk along the Esplanade... so many joyous memories there , that make it not only familiar but also act as a huge support for me mentally.

healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Looking forward to, hopefully, building up the walking a tad, with Mr OF and getting a longer one or two in as well, for myself!

Thank you!

Glad to hear the appointment all went smoothly. These things take some gearing up to .... made easier by the kindess and encouragement of the radiographer.

Your happy place will be a tonic for you both I'm sure, that sea air and the lovely views calming and familiar.

Walk easy and with a light step, ramble reports please if you have time!

Breathe, relax, enjoy..

Morning, my friend.... Thanks for your words... Yes, at the moment, I think, the strength and the stamina, that running and walking and regular exercise has given me over the years, is helping me to handle things happening right now.

Many folk have got family issues and worries, and each of us is handling in our own way, but physical and mental strength is a great support.

We had a restless night initially, but rested eventually.

This morning, my early wake-up routine has started the day well for me , and a ten minute breathing session too.

I intend trying to get my normal routines all complete before we pack the few things we need for the coast!

The air and the location will be a real change and maybe the normality and familiarity of one of our happy places will soothe Mr OF and give me the recharge needed :) xx

Jeepers! I'm an inspiration!

I was so focused on thinking about running, that I forgot to do my own tooth-brushing exercises this morning. But I'm definitely going to have some midday Adrienne today; it's only 0826, but I already feel like I need a reset. 🤣

Hope you get some super walking in.

You certainly are my friend, and having read, just, the great post of yours on C25K, I hope, an inspiration to a lot more folk too!

I shall have YWA relax session when we reach the coast .... enjoy your midday one!

I am hoping to get a few bracing walks in...and with Mr OF too... the change of scenery will do us both good! x

It sounds quite busy so hope you have arrived by now at your lovely sea-side destination and both of you can relax into a slow and gentle way of life for a while.
