...they really do!!!

Here I am...

I slept long and deeply last night and... woke late, but very refreshed.

Clocking in here to record today's activities. There is no need for replies, I just need to be out here:)

Plan was to get moving and move I did...

Okay... How did the Plan go!

* Head and shoulders knees and toe routine aka, Knees, ankles calves and toes, done.

* Teeth cleaning squats... 10 more today and a tad deeper.60.

* 16 minute, low impact leg work, Body fit by Amy. Done.

* YWA... Gentle morning wake up. I did not quite manage the whole time... some moves near the end were a tad too stretchy for me.... so I did some gentle breathing and relaxing.

I did feel anxious, as I began to move more and the feeling of how much strength I seem to have lost, was initially there...but I just slowed down, took it all at my own pace and used the yoga session to let everything just settle and calm.

There is little point to reflect on the negative.... the now and the moment is what counts.

After breakfast, Mr OF got a walk in before the rain came and he managed nearly a mile! I went with him and found it a very relaxed and enjoyable walk also.

I have finished Myrtle, my Hare painting... and am starting a new challenge.... given to me by my Art teacher last night,,, a lion cub.... I need some, brave, right now!

So, tomorrow....

* Squats...maybe include some ankle raises too.

* Body fit By Amy... Low impact abs... no crunches.

At some point...

* YWA... Gentle cosy flow. 20 minutes.

* Walk with Mr OF.. weather permitting... rain forecast all day!

The first steps are the hardest and they did feel a tad so, this morning., but slow and steady, on I go.

The longest I have been on the IC was 12 weeks... I cam back then, and I shall come back again!

I do know, that a few folk are struggling with all sorts right now...maybe putting a plan together could help :)

Sleep well or rest easy, everyone .

See you tomorrow.

You have had a successful day, sleeping well is so important for health isn't it.

I did not sleep well. First night away, in a new soft bed. Very comfortable, but, NOT MY pillow, very dark, lying there worrying about being murdered in our bed 😶 even though we are upstairs (the window was open a crack)...

In the morning the cows in the field next door were moo-ing, had they just been let out, were they going for milking? They hadn't made a sound yesterday...

So, up and straight on with Bodyfit with Amy, the 10 min standing abs. Then YWA Peaceful warrior practice. Then after a shower and breakfast off in the car to the start of our walk. 11k in total with a lunch stop in Ilkley half way round.

You are inspiring me to move Floss!

Rain forecast for tomorrow, so we will need to find something to do. I will start with those exercises again.

Hopefully some sleep tonight now I know we are safe. 😏

Well done to MrOF on your walk, the building blocks back to full strength.

Enjoy planning your new painting 🦁

Oh my goodness!!! Murdered in your bed! WHY ? Are you isolated on the moors !

Those pesky cows...they can really wake you if you are not used to it!

I am so glad that you are doing the workouts with Amy... she does a lovely ones for arms, I think I may change and do that one this morning... ! Your yoga will keep you grounded and strong too... and you need time to relax and give yourself, and Mr BBR... some TLC !

I hope you slept better last night... it is raining here, so I think Mr OF and I may have to spot a dry spell or get wet! Otherwise it will be indoor walking today.

The lion is drawn!!!! It is a cub..., I have already got to change the paw, which is the wrong shape! But that is for the afternoon...

This morning.. some housework exercise... dusting! There has not been dusting for a whole week!!!! Mr OF is being given a feather duster too!!

Enjoy your day, my friend xxx

Ha, no but it is very rural. We are in the annex of a big house, there are cars parked but we haven't seen a soul , and no lights on.We both slept well after our long walk thank you.

Raining but we have a plan!

Thinking of you and Mr OF, and glad to hear that you are both getting out and about again. You are getting lots of exercise in again too. 👏👏 ❤️

Today I was pleased to be able to do 2 sets of physio’s exercises for my back after getting sciatica problems and 3 sets for my rotator cuff problem. No running for a week, but can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

🍏🤗 An apple hug for a friend who continues to inspire us. You may not be running but you are certainly doing a lot of workouts. For me that sounds almost impossible… I certainly do a lot more after your inspirational posts & the Tibetan Rites were a game changer too…Enjoy the lion & we look forward to a painting and maybe a few lines of poetry on Brave! You certainly are!! Xx

Thanks you... I have done half my yoga this morning, but it was the first part of the gentle morning wake up...!

I am glad folk are finding these a tad helpful... I know that we can all neglect our exercise sometimes and having a focus does help... Bluebirdrunner is getting hooked on Bodyfit by Amy as we speak!

The Rites are so useful... and can be tweaked to suit most folk I think... The lion is going to be tricky I think...but I shall enjoy the relaxation time!

A poem... yes, time for a ramble ! xxx

That's a great plan and it's good you slept well Floss. It is lovely you are going for walks with your husband. He is making great progress xx

He is... just been out.. got caught in a shower but it was still excellent and we moved a little faster than yesterday too! He is looking much better for the walks!

I tweaked the yoga today... and did more foot exercises and arm work! Thank youx

That's great, so glad Mr OF is doing well! I have been doing some upper body work with weights to improve muscle tone. Arms are tricky! x

They are...I use the low impact with Body fit by Amy, because I find them gentle but they do impact. done on a regular basis!

so good to hear that Mr B is getting better. And Myrtle is also all sorted!

And you are taking valuable time for mind and body to fill up those energy stores that one needs in times like these.

It’s lovely to read and gosh, I love that picture!

Oldfloss profile image
OldflossAdministrator in reply toCBDB

Yes... Myrtle needs framing now! I am trying to top up, but it is slow... and Mr OF is doing really well, we sneaked one walk in before the rain... it did catch us on the way back, but we have the gear!

I do tweak things depending how I feel.... but the little bit each day is helping. The yoga with Adriene this morning was a lovely way to wake and start the day. before even getting out of bed!

I shall do a spot more later this afternoon too. Thanks you x
