* Long drive to Wales Wednesday.. diversions and upset hay-wagon, turning a three hour into a five hour journey!
* Chill day Thursday.
* Friday/ Golden wedding Anniversary and memory lane revisited!
My exercise regime has stood me in good stead. I am so glad that I am persevering!
So.... Here in Wales now.....
* Morning wake up.... ten minutes... relaxed waking with YWA... and finishing with deep directional breathing.
* Teeth cleaning squats, calf and ankle raises now.
* Yoga on the decking... Greeting the morning. So lovely!
* Two walks completed with Mr OF... short but sweet.
* Longer walk yesterday along a trail to our old camp site location in the Llanberis Pass. Mr OF was setting a slightly faster pace, which I found easier to walk too. My legs are getting stronger. ( see photograph).
* First time today... 15 minutes low impact leg work, using Body-Fit by Amy. I did it and found it much easier than of late. Relaxed and a good recovery time.
* Ten-minute balance breathing fitted in as and when.
So:
I would like to maybe keep up the relaxed regime and increase the times a tad... and maybe try a longer walk solo. Mr OF is still building back up.
It is good to see so many folk using the S and F site and using the huge selection of exercises there to support their running and walking too.
Good to see folk retuning after illness or injury too and some even starting to run C25K again..
Watch this space!
Hope everyone is relaxed and where they would like to be...or getting there..
See you tomorrow...

Great post Oldfloss and happy belated anniversary to you and MrOF 🥰🖤😘 enjoy the rest of your weekend xxx
Oh! I have had a look at Bodyfit by Amy YouTube channel and I like a lot of her videos so I’ve decided I’m going to do one of her workouts tomorrow…I’ll post all about it and let you know 🤗
Thank you , we had a lovely day and are still smiling! You will get hooked on Amy... so much to choose from at all levels and for an old creaky like me, I can find things that suit my body... like things with no crunches .. the leg one this morning is so good but can be taken very much at your own pace... Let me know how you go on please?
Congratulations on your 50th Wedding Anniversery Floss! Glad that you were able to celebrate it away at your happy place, and to walk down memory lane in that glorious location...Not exactly what you had planned, but a lovely alternative, and Acknowledge, Accept, Adapt working for you again.
I am finding the short Bodyfit by Amy fun and managing to fit one in most mornings now, which I follow with a YWA practice to stretch out.
We managed to go walking a lot in the pretty Yorkshire Dales on our short break, and a little revisit to the Monsal trail clocked up the 50k for my walking Strava badge. Once we get back into a little more routine I hope to have a look at c25k again. In the meantime keeping going, and hoping a little goes a long way as Adriene tells us!
Enjoy your time in Wales, Yoga with a view, and of course your walks.
Thanks you... You had such a good time ion your break!! 50KKKKKK blimey ! I am loving that we are all sharing our exercise and using them to support our own plans!
Body-Fit suits me on so many levels... time and low impact too, although she does her share of more vigorous stuff ! I am looking forward to trying to start Couch again... if I dare!!
The YWA on the deck is priceless, like this morning it was so good!
Our day yesterday meant so much, and nothing had really changed that much, except everything had grown! I think really, probably was more special because so much of our lfe has been spent here in Wales !
Wales is such a beautiful place. The majesty and splendour of the mountains always leaves me breathless. Getting to the summit is an amazing achievement and experience. It lives with one forever, as you have shared with us. I hope this post inspires someone young, to go and climb a mountain somewhere in the world. (obviously with the right training and gear).
Obviously... with training and the correct gear! Mr OF and I climbed all the time... and safety was paramount... Dinas Mot was a favourite... it is quite something to look at the places now and think... yes, we've climbed that .
The mountains are so special and both of us were refreshed and recharged by simply soaking up the power and the force of those sleeping giants.
It also lets you mark how you can progress. with new interests and new challenges...
I am glad that I am, despite all finding the time and the will to carry on with the exercises we are sharing and the new ones appearing, to continue trying to build back to mental and physical strength.
Since being in Wales... I have really had no episodes... which in itself is strengthening me . Thank you x
I did Llanberis Pass and Snowden when I camped alone in Snowdonia when I was 16! I hiked for SO many miles and quite literally jumped off the side of Snowden - it was awesome!
I have a back workout from the Amy collection saved, but not yet done. I have not looked too closely but am somewhat worried about doing myself an injury with her workouts. Am doing specific pilates/yoga exercises, plus stuff recommended specifically for me by two physios.
