S&F Catch-Up: what’s you favourite S&F move or tool, currently?

It’s been a few full weeks on S&F, with @Oldfloss’ posts about embedding all sorts of movements into daily life (part 2 is here healthunlocked.com/strength... ) and also many of us have been busy with the Tibetan rites challenge ( healthunlocked.com/strength... ).

But just wanted to reach out and post a catch-up for all of us, including those who are following completely different S&F routines.

How is everyone doing?

And, if you have a favourite pose, a favourite go-to workout, a favourite tool (dumbbell, resistance balls, mat, gym ball, etc), we’d love to read about it, even seeing a picture or two! Post in a separate post for everyone to see those glorious pics, tools, workouts or post by reply here!

And if you are new or still not sure where to head to, below some inspirations from our past posts:

Links to recent and past S&F initiatives:

★ 7-DAY TIBETAN RITES CHALLENGE: the 5 Tibetan Rites provide a great morning micro workout for the whole body: healthunlocked.com/strength...

★ TARGETED ANKLE MOBILITY: these are useful for runners, walkers and rowers in need to integrate ankle mobility drills, see healthunlocked.com/strength...

★ INDOOR ROWING: a 30x30 min follow-along set of videos of 30 minutes with a lot of guidance in technique: healthunlocked.com/strength...

And for those who are new, our key standard links of all things S&F are provided below:

Despite not being able to keep up with the Tibetan rights I have been doing my go to campervan exercises that I started doing last year while away. The first are my physio exercises which consists of clamshells and bridges. Next I lay on my back legs at table top position, hands behind head and neck raised. Then do various versions of toe taps or alternate leg extensions. Then perhaps some sphinx or cobra, even a down dog and cat.

The best bit is I can do all these on my bed before I get up so no excuses 😂😉

I love the campervan exercises, 😆! I'm a fan of any workouts that can be completed on the bed. My only problem is that both cats join me 🙀

I have had a whole 2 weeks on the injury bench 😫 It really annoyed me that I had to stop my S&F,especially after never missing a session for 3 months. Now that's over I'm getting back into the habit of "moving it" with the Tibetan Rites. I've also begun doing the sit to stand ,no calf raises yet, in preparation for tackling the NHS 5 weeks plan again.

I'm no longer a spring chicken, 🐥so I'm taking it slowly and carefully ⚠️🤫xx

I have just completed week 3 of S & F.

I had a sudden family bereavement last Friday & have spent as much time as possible in my local nature reserve to help me grieve.

Unfortunately this has caused my leg pain to flare up again . I have got some exercises from a physiotherapist to do but this is the same pain that stopped me from competing the Couch25K ( I couldn’t get passed week 4).

The problem is that now it’s when I walk as well .

I think I might need to take a break or go back a week until it settles down.

oh gosh. You have a lot on your plate it sounds like. Sending you loads of healing wishes. And c25k and S&F will still be here when you’re ready.

Excellent stuff. I must devote time to make daily efforts to routinely follow much of this.
