Here’s our Fortnightly S&F Catch-Up. So just checking in with everyone to see if everyone survived the heat. Has it disrupted your workout routines? And are you back to your normal patterns for working out?
Looking at my fitness diary, it looks like I constantly need to have a conversation with myself! The margins often have exclamations scribbled, from “Wowsa!!”, “Woohoo!!” to “Find a way how, just do it!” and “Go!”. Maybe I can call it I kind of self-coaching?
Offline, I chat to my ever-so-patient hubby, who - as someone who has worked out all his life - I believe enjoys these chats. But who knows? Maybe he indulges me. But it's great to have a common passion, and he is my first, most personal best coach to talk to when I have a question about my way forward.
And, of course, I live in an era where we are fortunate to have various coaches at our fingertips! There is Coach Bennett (NRC) keeping me running, Coach Steventon (RowAlong) keeping me rowing and of course Adriene (YWA), who doesn’t call herself a coach, but she is to me.
So where do you go when you need a good coach-talking to? Do you give yourself a good talking to, or do you have a different coach you rely on?

Apart from my own little stretch and core routine, I’ve been remarkably lax in the S&F department. 😬🙈
However, I’m claiming I get plenty of stretching and a workout on my allotment…that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it! 😂
I don’t talk to anyone about my running on a regular basis. Using NRC more often, so I guess you could say them…but I just get on with it, I guess 🤷🏻♀️

🤣🤣 yes, I think allotment workouts count! I feel actually guilty neglecting my garden a bit more since starting to run and row… 🫣🌱🌱..
I've tried the popular Nike app several times and just can't get on with it, so no coaches whispering in the ear.I give myself a talking to at times, remind myself how far I've come, bit mainly look to these forums.
But since my extended holiday I've been finding it hard to get back into a routine, so I'm replying in the hope that it'll kick start my return to S&F 😂🤣.
I'm going to try get back to my pre holiday routine, once a week live yoga class, twice weekly physio exercises and 3 lots of Pilates. So far this week I've kept to it 🤞
