Toning body to tone mind to tone running

Today, whole body toning workout. nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/1...

I was back in my outside gym, but the sun ⛅️ struggled as much as I seemed to. It makes all colours seem deeper in a colder sense. It feels like autumn 🍂 but it made it also special to have that bit of sun to be able to put my blanket out and spend some time just with me, nature and the workout programme.

The workout itself, when I do it, is nowhere near 10 min, rather 24 minutes for the workout. Add to that 6 min warm-up and 5 min cool down, that’s a 35 min overall, duration of a very short run!

White chicken 🐓 didn’t join me doing the workout, she’s still pouting as her coop is now besides another coup with two rescue hens, and she doesn’t seem to like her new neighbours.

And in terms of workout, this seems to have everything: lunges, biceps curls, squats, scrunches... you name it, this workout has it. It also uses resistance bands, and I somehow really like the look of them. I am getting slightly better in some of the exercises, and I am beginning to know the movements or the sequence by heart. My back still makes these strange little clicks 🤨 at some exercises but has stopped clicking in some others where it had before. So that’s progress.

Most of all, doing these exercises outside really feels like I can reconnect with natural world of my garden, and it makes me feel inwardly happy. Knowing that I will do these every second day, and beginning to know the sequences by heart, provides a satisfying routine.

And best of all, of course, is that it will benefit my running. 😊😊🏃🏾‍♀️

it will certainly benefit your running! Achieving a cross training routine is something to be very proud of! You even make it sound enjoyable!!!
