5 minute Tai Chi Daily Challenge

NO running since for over a week due to isolation at home (one child in my class had a positive test) so trying out some Tai Chi, stretching, strength and cardio videos - loads of them on YouTube!

Loving the Tai Chi 5 min videos - thanks to a post by Hidden and CBDB 's links.

Got up early this morning (hubby off for run with doggie at 5.45 to avoid the heat!) so went outside to do some Tai Chi first then inside for some other exercises.....

I like Emi Wong's videos and have done her 20 min whole body stretch nearly every day. Also tried her standing abs videos which is also good and got me sweating!

Tried another one of her standing abs videos this morning:

Then another one popped up by a different person, so tried it! 10 min standing workout - quite liked the exercises, nothing too tricky but used chair with one hand for balance in a couple of the one leg exercises.

Working online today then back to school tomorrow - hopefully I can keep up the Tai Chi and stretching during the school holidays. That's my challenge - as well as training for my first HM!!

It sounds great! Thank you for posting all those links, I've always fancied giving Tai Chi a go but I haven't so far. It's too hot to go for a run today so I'll try those instead ๐Ÿ™‚ wishing your child a speedy recovery and no more positive tests in the household ๐ŸŒท

I hope you enjoy the Tai Chi - I am really loving it. Did two lots of 5 minutes this morning outside (6am) and will do another session before bed - it is very relaxing. I am amazed how my body/mind remembers the moves - last time I did Tai Chi was over 30 years ago!! The affected child is in my class at school (not my own child) and we all had to go home and isolate. She is fine and we are all back to school tomorrow for the last few days of term

Ah, completely misread that bit about the positive test! Glad everyone's ok and back to school now ๐Ÿ™‚I did the first Tai Chi video this morning and I loved it! I'm going to do them every day, thank you for posting the links ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I'll also give the abs exercises a try since it's too hot to run at the moment ๐Ÿ’ช

Fabulous post, will save those links for future use! They look great, and itโ€™s brilliant to see quite a few people are practicing Tai Chi, besides the groups doing daily Yoga and weekly Pilates. Fabulous! ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Just a short note to raise awareness that authors of posts can โ€œtagโ€ their posts with โ€œFlexibilityโ€, which puts the posts (Tai Chi, Quigong, Yoga, etc) into our Flexibility folder, for others to find it in the future. Here is the link to that folder healthunlocked.com/strength... ๐Ÿ’ช

Or, alternatively, if you confirm to me, I can very easily do that for post authors. It will then just say in small print at the bottom that I โ€œeditedโ€ your post, as โ€œtaggingโ€ is seen by the system as editing. (Therefore those of us with admin rights donโ€™t tend to do this without permission from post authors)โœ๐Ÿฝ

Happy Tai Chi-ing! ( Iโ€™m off to my Yoga now but enviously looking over at the Tai Chi virtual room) ๐Ÿ‘€
