Week 5 Strength and flex plan

Hi all,

I attempted to start the week 5 Strength and flex podcast on my iPhone but it was actually the 5k+ speed podcast instead. I tried to redownload but it didn’t work I had to listen to it while still streaming from website which is not as good.

I tried the speed podcast in case they just got switched but it doesn’t download at all.

Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to fix it?

TIA

I've not seen this before. Are you enjoying it? Do you do anything else on your non-run days?

I was having a little go at an old Yoga DVD (that I never really used as was too hard) but although it's supposed to be suitable for beginners to advanced it's not that easy and I think some of my runs have been delayed due to recovery from the yoga - I could be doing it wrong, but I never had problems doing a yoga class.

It’s brilliant really gentle to start and builds up gradually. It’s a five week plan. This time round I’m using it and C25k as part of the 12 week fitness plan. It means I get enough stretching in not to get sore. After week 5 it moves up to ten minute cardio exercises too. As someone who really had no fitness left in them it’s been really good. I didn’t skip any weeks when I felt I could have. I’m following the plan because I want to maintain it all and when I did try an extra beginner Pilates once and it took me a few days for my aches to go away and be able to do everything properly again so no deviation till the 12 weeks are up now. Then maybe yoga or Pilates when my body is stronger. Which I know it already is.

Thanks. I'll try to give it a go.

Sorry but another question - what/where is the 12 week plan?

Aah. I now remember seeing this when I first joined, (before I actually started the running and realising that there was more to it than just running) and thinking the running was going to be enough of a challenge!

And really interested to see the 5K+ bits. Thanks again.

Are you downloading the podcast from iTunes?

I have managed to download week 5 from the NHS website and from my podcast app with no problems, so I can only wonder if iTunes is causing the problem...

Hi I deleted the four podcasts and redownloaded them and it’s working now. Thank you 😊

It is iTunes I’m using. If it doesn’t work I’ll just have to use the website it’s just poor reception in the park so I’ll have to find a good spot and walk in circles 😊 I’ll try again to delete and download see if it changes anything. Thank you
