Hi all!
How you doing?
Here's a new little indoor workout I tried yesterday and rather liked!
This is from Lucy Wyndham-Read, a double-barrelled online trainer who has stepped up with a selection of short "quarantine" workouts recorded in her own home.
Here's her YouTube channel: youtube.com/user/LWRFitness...
This total body cardio-strength workout is only 7 minutes long, and I think it's a lot of fun!!! I will say I didn't realise at first that she doesn't actually say "Go!" at the start of each new exercise, you have to watch for the timer to start, but once I got the hang of that I was fine. Also, it pauses partway-through for an ad break, which could have annoyed me if I'd let it, but really it gives one a chance for a breather, and Lucy's got to make her money somehow!!!
I like the styling of these videos, cheaply and cheerfully recorded on Lucy's phone, with funky bright red graphics added to give really clear indications. There are 7 different moves, each done for 40 seconds, with marching/running breaks in between - got my heart rate up and kept it there! All the exercises are equipment-free, and you don't need much space. They mostly mimic workouts that DO have equipment, which I found interesting. There are two variations of each move presented, a gentler one on the left and a more difficult one on the right, with a nice big countdown clock in the middle. Lucy gives loads of instructions throughout, plus excellent explanations of what body part is worked in each exercise. Each new movement is previewed for you during the walk/run breaks, so it's pretty easy to follow, although I recommend you play it on a tablet or larger screen otherwise you may not be able to see well enough.
This is great - give it a try!!!
Love, roseabi xx
