Heyup!
How's it all going?
Here is the latest of my YouTube workout exploits for you to enjoy ๐
This one is from The Body Project, an online and app-based fitness company run by a married couple called Daniel and Alexandra Bartlett.
They have a fairly small selection of free workouts available on YouTube, aimed at various levels of experience. Many of the workouts are equipment free, so worth a look. Here's their YouTube channel:

The workout I tried is the latest upload, and it is a low impact (meaning no jumping up and down) workout - ideal if you live in an upstairs flat like me ๐ but also great if you are new to cardio workouts, or coming back from an injury.
The workout is presented by Daniel and Alexandra (D&A), in a bright white studio with a large timer displayed near the bottom of the screen. There is no messing about with this video, they are warming up from 00:00, but they explain everything very well and you can just jump in and warm up as soon as you've hit play and got yourself into position. Very little space is needed, which is great for me in my tiny slot next to the bed - although I did end up kicking the wardrobe a couple of times ๐ No damage done though. There is music on the video, which was not to my taste, but it also wasn't particularly loud so I was able to pretty much ignore it!
The workout consists of a range of different exercises, each presented in sets of two (one from D and one from A), and run through twice. The exercises are 30 seconds or 1 minute long. Between each set there is a break of 30 seconds where we are encouraged to march on the spot and drink some water. D&A give a quick demo of each new movement, and then get straight on with it, so even though the workout is low-impact, the heart rate remains raised. I found some of the moves a little difficult to master at first, but since they are all repeated I soon got the hang! The video is billed as 'intermediate', but as they say throughout, you can always miss a movement out and just march until you feel able to pick it up again, so it works well for those at any level. The movements mainly comprise boxing, reaching, and squats; giving a decent total-body workout.
I found this workout really quite amusing, because Daniel is an exuberant chap! He seems to like to put extra effort into everything, and is very much inclined to shout encouragement at regular intervals - "COME ON, SHOW ME! COME ON!" etc. This made me giggle a few times - also, I swear I saw Alexandra roll her eyes more than once ๐คฃ As well as a warm-up, this video includes a cool-down at the end, first time I've seen this so far in my little quest for online workouts!
Anyway, I reckon this is good stuff - check it out!!
