Had a fantastic day out with wife and kids on Sunday. Running around after them in the fresh air. Worked all day Monday then went to pt and ran after as well. Was done after but enjoyed every minute of it.

That's a great workout you had Johnny this morning, I am so happy that you enjoyed Sunday with your wife and children, all that running around after them is a workout in its self, look at it this way, if you weren't fit you could not keep up with them.

So in order of what I have been doing today, I will tell you.

Before breakfast I did the "Three-minute perfect plank workout" that's a Youtube video with Tom Holland, that lasted 3 minutes, five minutes later I did a two-minute Kettlebell exercise, mainly the American Swing ending with the Russian Swing. Then I had breakfast and 90 minutes after that I ran the last of the Stepping Stones Podcast's with Laura, this was the 35 minute 'stamina one', 10 minutes of 158 steps a minute, then 20 minutes of 160 steps and finally 5 minutes of 165 steps a minute, I worked out that I covered around 4.5 kilometres on that run, a little short of the full 5K distance in that 35 minute run.

Yesterday I found an app that measures exactly in beats/steps per minute how you can run, its name is "Metronome Beats" the beats are from 1 to 300 a minute so for us runners the 150 to 165 or more steps per minute is well within that apps range. Have a great day.

Nice start to the week. Mine was tough yesterday as my “one little thing” was a day of no strenuous exercise and by dinner time my shoes were shouting my name every time I stood up. I resisted and did a couple of short walks. Not running or doing strengthening work is the hardest thing I’ve done for a while 🤣

Today I had a nice 2.5 mile recovery run ready for 10k next, or another 2.5 miler if it’s too hot. I hit the start button on my HM plan as it was going to start with 2 weeks of consolidation anyway... ready to start the push up in 2 weeks time.

Have a great week!

And that I think sums up the main reason why we do all this, to have those great days running around with our families, such a positive message in that one sentence 😀. Rfc x
