Hi

I followed a link from the c25k forum.

I finished c25k just over a week ago and wanted to add in some strength exercises.

Is there a plan here to follow ? (I like my plans : ) )

See the messages between RunRunRun13 and Johnnylewis, above your post.

People like Nike Training Club and mapmyfitness. I don't have either.

PS: I remember your name from the C25K forum. Congratulations on completing it. 🙋

There is a five week stregnth and flex plan, narrated by Laura, it is a podcast rather than an app. There are also lots of videos to have a look through too. Here are the links. There is also us, we are trying to motivate and support each other.

Thanks for those links, I will check them on the train to work tomorrow. Adding strength and flex is one of my goals for June.

Welcome. The 5 week plan in Realfoodieclub ’s post is a great place to start. I love the above mentioned NTC, but it does assume some previous experience in its version of “beginner” workouts, so I’d advise looking carefully at any workout on there to assess wether it’s doable in the early stages.

As with the running, start small and build gradually to achieve better results in the long term, and I think that sometimes it’s good to not add more every week but to take some time just to maintain our current levels... just like consolidation after C25K and again after bridge to 10k.

Thank you. I will check them out. Many moons ago I used to be strong and fit (pre children and pre office job) and some.of the flexibility has stayed. I will only try what I am sure of being able to do and work up.
