I think this counts as some form of exercise...

Complete reorganisation of my Studio..three cupboards lifted and moved. 1 sofa.. two exercise machines... into their new location in the soon to be...'gym' room..๐Ÿคฃ..and niftily dodging the rain as I transfer things indoors and to the new shed.

And I'm still in chaos...onward and upward..slow and steady?? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Well done Floss, that photo reminds me of my teenage sons bedroom. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I haven't grown up too much then...:) I am just a natural hoarder, and because I paint, and write...there is a lot of paper; and I have still not worked out where my piano ( electric. thank goodness) is going !!!

We moved in the idea of downsizing... and then had to start adding things on to accommodate our lifestyle...:)

Sounds like exercise to me. Tidier than little miss UNMs room too ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel like I have had a really good workout so far... trouble is I am very, very hungry now :)

Dunno how to track calories for furniture moving, but youโ€™ve probably burned quite a few off.

Oh most definately Floss, you will have burnt some calories shifting things. I know what you mean too, I had it in my head over the Easter break to vscvum under my bed, well, you should have seen the dust, haha. I have curver boxes under there with lots of books, novels in, so the lids needed a proper wipe, not a dust, ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ then things went onto the bed, then when it was full, my head became chlostrophobic, so I left it for a while and sorted lunch or tea, then went back to it. All done now and the units. Need to paint in there at some point, that's another job to tackle ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Well done Floss, good work done there xxx

Very good OldFloss, impressive workout ๐Ÿ˜. The new 'gym' sounds great!

Ha ha..not really a gym....we are having a small area in our longhouse of a garage, made into a small room to take the treadmill and J's cross trainer...we had the other half turned into my Studio two years ago..

The folk who lived here before had expansive hobbies..he built Kit cars..and she made furniture...so there was a lot of room to play with...! Trouble is..it is just perfect for hoarding!!!

Oh, my goodness! Your situation reminds me of mine--and we have not downsized yet, as one of our "birds" is still in the nest--taking up not only HIS old room, but his sister's, as well.... What a situation!

Oh goodness! We got rid of so much to charity etc when we moved...then had to have a room sorted to take all our books...that was just the beginning..I do not envy you...our loft when we moved had loads of boxes full of the girls stuff!!

Well, I've been getting rid of old clothes/toys and stop-gap furniture, but there's still SO MUCH! And our house is run-down from family and pets.... Slowly, slowly, I'm doing what I can. We have a plumber here this morning fixing a non-working tap.

Oldfloss profile image
OldflossAdministrator in reply to LiisaM

Hope your tap is fixed now? Our house now... is getting over-run, by a small blonde haired tyrant... cute as a button.. sharp as a pin and with the ability to wrap us right round that little finger of hers:)

How lucky your have a grandchild! I have two grown-up kids aged 34 and 29 and no grandkids in sight! I am jealous!!! (Yes, my tap was fixed. Now I have a coat hanger thingy that fell off my wall and a stairwell banister that broke away from the wall in one place that I need to get fixed. and.... and.... and....!!)

Oh it is so a workout. I think Garmin should add it into there exercise list and then we can turn our watches on while we do it. I had a massive sort out after my swim, a down week ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. I was more shattered after that than the 2.5km swim. ๐Ÿ˜€. I have a little exercise station at home if I canโ€™t get to the gym and it really does come in handy some days. Rfc x

Thanks you.... it was quite a day... and I am ready to start again in an hour or so... some stuff going into one of the sheds means the shed has to be emptied first and then everything put back in order!!

Such fun..luckily, I enjoy doing things like this and, I do have the pleasure of knowing it is building up strength!
