Upper body exercises?

Anyone know any upper body exercises that don't activate the core. I'm not allowed to work my stomach muscles with weights or do any pulling or pushing at the moment but would love to keep some tone in my arms.

Any thoughts?

Grip exercises, maybe? Hold something squeezable in your hands and really concentrate on tensing and relaxing your arm muscles as you squeeze and release.

That sounds like a good idea. MrRfc was given some stress balls to squeeze while in hospital, maybe I will borrow them.
