Hi, I thought I'd give you an update on the walking activity which I began 13 weeks ago.
I have now lost a total of 30 pounds and am feeling better than I remember for a long time, my doctor is pleased with my efforts and I also asked him about the pain I was feeling above my heel in my left leg and whether the it looked like it was the same as problem that started in my right leg, the doctor doesn't think it's the same symptom and seemed certain that it was just muscle ache. The only thing left for me to figure out now is how to keep on losing weight without over training.
As I get lighter the weight will be harder to lose because I will not require as much energy to walk up the hills so I will not burn as many calories, even though I am eating less calories and the nutrients are right it will still be a problem later on.

Hi jimtom, no I have not changed my eating habits at all, over the Christmas period I did alter the eating habits slightly but now am straight back to the regular diet, I have just had another weigh in at my doctors and have not gained or lost any weight during the festive period which is good news, I am looking forward to getting back to my usual routine of walking 4.7 miles a day for up to 4 days as I believe this can still work well for me.
Both, I was on the critical list for my blood pressure with a high of 220 and was on a total of 10 tablets, I am now on 1 tablet and have seen a vast improvement in my overall health, I also feel less tired than I used to and do have more energy, my aim is to lose another 2 stone and then I will be at the comfortable weight I was at 20 years ago before all of my health issues began I can then concentrate on my strength and flexibility as well as the walking.
