So this afternoon I thought I'd give these strength 💪 class-things a go.
Here's what I did:
15 squats
30 secs plank
30 secs side plank
30 secs other-side plank
15 squat thrusts
20 plank walks (first 10 right arm down first, latter 10 left arm down first)
x 3
I've not felt this, um, well, impacted I suppose, since I did Zumba Strong classes.
If this hasn't done anything for me then I'll be amazed. I guess it would be like when you sometimes wake up with the feeling of a hangover when you know last night you drank 0% alcohol - isn't that annoying!
I'll definitely be doing this again, though it brings a different meaning to 'rest' days - I definitely don't feel rested right now 😄

I’ve tried to get a hangover on many occasions and failed... maybe one day I’ll know that feeling 🤣
That’s some great core work, and strengthening of legs and arms/shoulders to boot. I just noticed something reading that... I do all my side planks the same way! I’d best change that.
I can plank for over 3 minutes now... but Nike Training Club has a 5 minute core finisher... which really is a finisher for me.
I’m sure it’s done plenty of good... very well done surviving!
Trust me UnfitNoMore, don't try to get a hangover 🤣 I don't think anyone gets them intentionally, maybe negligently or recklessly, but trying to get one? I don't think so.
That's an impressive plank time! I think my body would be shaking quite violently if I tried that, I shall have to see after my run tomorrow or on Thursday. I'll let you know how I do.
Planking is just like running and slow progression is the way to go. I’ve hit a bit of an impasse at 3 minutes, but I’m not sure if that’s just boredom to be honest.
😄 I think I'd definitely need to have a movie or something playing on my phone to do more than a few minutes, even music couldn't keep me planking for that long
Thank you Sue 😊 you do plank walks by going from a high plank to a normal/low plank by moving one arm at a time. Here's a quick video on youtube to illustrate what I mean:
Give it a go Sue, and let me know how you find it. I feel I should warn you I found it the most physically demanding part of the whole set, though maybe it's because they were the last things I was doing 🤣
