Just signed up and recovering from foot operation, want to get fit again, how to start?.

Hi, what operation did you have? I would say start doing upper body exercise, take it easy though as your body is repairing your foot.

Sound advice. I'd add in stretching/flexibility, core strengthening and lower body isometrics until initial healing is complete. Then get on stationary bike and/or rowing machine (both low impact) as tolerated to build cardiorespiratory fitness...and this will strengthen legs at same time. You can then look at addressing any muscle imbalances with specific resistance exercises. Lots of rest and recovery as Shellyr implied.
