Would walking on the spot rather than walking about be OK in the strength and flex warm up?

I may be a wimp but don't want to be outside in the pouring rain and don't have much room indoors.

Yes I reckon so. You might want to move about a *bit* - there are some walking videos on YouTube that show the sort of thing.
