Hello everybody, how are you all, and how are your goals going? I havent achieved mine yet, but the month is not yet over
Pic is me and my sister about 2 years ago messing about on the beach doing gymnastics..... missing all that stuff. But trying to find ways to do stuff in different ways....
Never too late to join
So this months quest is all about finding MAXIMUM potential in a world that limits us right now. So, wherever you are, if you are shielding, socially isolating, going to work, working from home…..and everything else in between, there will be something that you can do. So this is the place to say what you would like to achieve this month, here are some ideas:
•Daily yoga
•Achieving a particular thing, it might be crow, handstand, a pull up, a press up, a tightrope walk, a PB on weights, touching your toes…
•Learning something new…. Perhaps a handstand, a particular yoga move, a type of lift in your weight training.
•Carrying on doing what you are doing… maintaining the frequency and focus.
•Trying a YouTube workout for the first time… there are loads out there, and there is a library here…

The pic is me doing a handstand in the early hours in Leeds last year. My goal now is to do an L sit, they are really hard!!
So, whatever it is that you would like to achieve, please say below and I will add your name to the challenge.
And let’s have some fun doing what we do 🕺🏽
Happy Panthering

Love the photo - but you both look so serious, almost as if you knew what was coming 😍
I'm doing OK - running and riding and yoga, exactly as planned. Am able to extend my rides without pressure since this week's changes which means I can take my cycling to the (my) max! But I promised to try to get my crow flying again - and yes, I'm getting there; a few short, low flights have been enjoyed already but it would be nice to get a bit more height and to fly a little longer. That's what the rest of the month is for, right? good luck with your quest ju-ju 🙂
Ahhh, thank you 😘. With my foot playing up and my sensible head on, I'll be sticking to cycling and yoga til it either feels better or until I can see a physio!
I'm still not running on it, but it's not quite resting either as work must go on. It's definitely not ready for running - whatever I've aggravated is still aggravated. Doesn't seem any point in contacting a physio at this point as it's new, but possibly related to the stress fracture in some way. I'll just wait it out and see if I can keep enteraining myself with the rides 😊.
I have completed two weeks now of adding the impact exercises into my physio regime...I took it down a notch for the second session to see the effect on my foot. I think walking is causing the niggles, but they are just niggles.
The yoga doesn't seem to have an adverse effect, the downward dog stretch of the calf is helpful I think.
So was feeling pretty good as I thought I'd nearly managed a full press up........but apparently my bum was still too high so my husband discounted my last effort 🤣. However I am really stubborn so will show him yet. One more week to get it right.
one more week of May to go, and the plyometric impact work has been fine. My foot is very much better, just a bit of sensation there, so I will check in with my physio by email and see if I'm ready to run/walk next week. She has given me a rehab plan so I think I will follow that.
I would like to get a little pre-run regime in place, and will continue with the physio exercises on non-run days. Any ideas/suggestions appreciated. (more than just the donkey kicks and hip swings I used to do on my warm up walk.)
Daily yoga has become my favourite thing, so I intend to carry on stretching and planking and taking my downward dog for a walk with Adriene. Just started Revolution (31 days) and really enjoying it.
I am so pleased, it sounds like you are really doing well. In terms of pre run, I often do hip swings, but thats all. I am rubbish at this stuff. I do always start really slowly as I think it helps to get into the run gradually.
