3 unrelated cancers

2 weeks ago had a mammogram which showed 2 tumors, biopsied, cancer, stage 3. Week later tumor on lung, not breast cancer. Had a Petscan 2 days later. Another tumor in rectum, no biopsies yet, likely unrelated to the breast or lung cancer. Anyone ever hear of such a thing?

Hello, so sorry to see you go through this, For me the diagnosis was shock and awe. I was diagnosed with two separate cancers, I have Ovarian cancer and Uterine cancer. They are separate primary tumors. The doctor called it synchronous cancer. Honestly I still don't understand how you can get two or more primary cancers at the same time but the Dr told me that people with more than one primary cancer tend to do better than others, of course he couldn't tell me why.

I had two different cancers . Renal cell carcinoma and ovarian cancers. Had kidney removed no chemo and had total hysterectomy with many chemos. It can happen. Blesses to you.
