Hello Angela, glad you caught this before higher stage. Like the hat, just keep going, follow Dr's instructions eat healthy, try 1 glass red wine in evening to help keep red blood count up. Pinot Noir has highest score for helping‼️ Hang tough, And try live strong class at Y if available

Hi Angela,

I am Stage 1A and started chemo on Dec 2. I am using penguin cold caps and am happy to say have kept more than 80% of my hair so far. I did shed some hair in weeks 3 and 4 but that has also reduced significantly.

I also have had negligible side effects of chemo. Other than days 3-5 of joint pain in my knees right after chemo, so far I have had no other side effects. Take your anti-nausea medication diligently for 3 days after chemo and keep exercising and carrying on with regular activities and you will ride this wave.

Hi Angela Denise. Well my treatment after surgery was Carboplatin and Taxol. This is a hard chemo. But you must just rest in between infusions. The first five days are the hardest. Then you will start to feel better. It is different for everybody but hold on you will make it thru it all. Trust Jesus ask for strenght. belsie

Hello Angela,

The tricks that I contribute to minimal side effects from the Chemo.

WATER WATER and more WATER. Our organs need it on a normal basis but when we bombard it with toxic chemicals to kill the cancer our bodies need ever more to help flush it out.

High protein drink to counter the weakeness and small daily walks when possible.

Try hard to find the lighter side of even the darker moments and don't be afraid to share with others.. We feel less alone when we share..

Best of luck to you.

Usually by 2nd month you will be totally bald but it does depend on which agent your oncologist has prescribed 😎
