Due to some vomiting I was experiencing, seemingly out of nowhere, I had an upper endoscopy last week. Still no word from anyone on the results, but I read them on the portal. Apparently, I now have signet ring carcinoma in my stomach. From what I have read, this is completely unrelated to my breast cancer. Does anyone else have a secondary cancer? It’s a frightening prospect to be sure. Keep up the good fight. Such a struggle.

Nocillo, I too have signed ring cell in my armpit tumor was 6.3 com. It is luminal B and I have luminal A in my left nipple both signet ring cell. The primary tumor is in my left nipple but the cancer under my armpit is from it spreading from my nipple and it obviously mutated to luminal B but it is still breast cancer. Your signet ring cell is a spread from your original breast cancer, it's still breast cancer cells. So secondary breast cancer means that a cancer that started in the breast has spread to another part of the body. It most commonly spreads to the liver, lungs, brain, or bones. And then it's called metastatic breast cancer usually stage 4.
