I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer ER+ and her2 negative and been on Ibrance and letrozole for since December 2023 though I was diagnosed August 2023. Long story that I mentioned in a previous post. I had a recent biopsy of my upper left lung since I have lung mets. The last biopsy I had said it was all breast cancer. This biopsy says it's small cell lung cancer (yes I am a smoker and it's rare in nonsmokers to get it but women can - only though about 2 -3%). I have been crying a lot and I know this cancer is aggressive and fast growing. But get this this one tumor I have dad since the beginning of being diagnosed with breast cancer. It's been on all the scans, hasn't grown but didn't shrink so it's not acting like small cell lung cancer no do I have any symptoms and I have had it for a year. I feel devastated and depressed. I see my oncologist today and my adult kids are going with me. Anyone else have any other secondary primary tumor?

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 they found a lung issue as well. Not a smoker but exposed to heavy second hand smoke since a child. I went through all the surgery, radiation, chemo for the initial breast cancer while watching the lung (diagnosed as a primary by biopsy). After finishing up with all the initial breast interventions, I had a left upper lobectomy of that lung and have had NO recurrence in my lung since 2007. Not going to sugar coat it, the surgery isn’t a Disney ride but it’s definitely doable! In a couple of weeks I was walking into the wind at the beach using it like a salt air CPAC…..worked great for mind, body and spirit!

I saw my oncologist yesterday and she says she can cure it with chemo radiation and immunotherapy. It's stage 1b. I am glad to hear that yours never came back!!

hi monkey girl, I hope your oncologist was encouraging. If you’ve had this spot and it hasn’t grown all this while that you’ve been on Ibrance, it seems to me that the Ibrance and letrozole are working for you. Stay positive, worry doesn’t help anything, We must all live our lives as fully and happily as possible. 🙏🏻

just popping in here to say I hope you are okay. I don’t know anything about all that you’ve posted, so I’m not saying I have any opinion or thoughts to give you. But I do know we all here have to go through such awful stages of doubt, fear, hope and loneliness. I’m sorry you are going through this.
