I’ve been on Ibrance since Sept. 2017. I started on 125mg for about a year, then was switched to 100mg. I’m having sporadic nausea and diarrhea at the weirdest times lately. I’m thinking it could be Ibrance side effects popping up. Has anyone else had this happen?

Ibrance side effects
You don’t feel worse with the lower dose?
I also started with 125 and reduced to 100 due to, also, sporadic SEs. GI issues mostly: the runs, gassy, and intestinal discomfort/pain. I don't understand why it's only sporadic; I would think if you get SEs, they'd be consistent. Most of the time, I feel okay, it's just an occasional problem. GI problems are one of the stated side effects, so I would guess it's from the Ibrance. I find pepto seems to be helpful.
My sense of taste is also affected. Sometimes food has absolutely no taste; I mean nothing tastes like anything. I couldnl't tell the difference, accept for texture, between a steak and a cookie. But sometimes, it's not so bad. I don't get it. Absolutely cannot taste sweet. I'd kill to be able to taste a nice apple or some grapes or strawberries, or a nice sweet tomato.
On the other hand, the Ibrance is working really well for me so there's that. Obviously, I'd trade cancer for a strawberry, but still.......
Yes, I've been on Ibrance and Fulvestrant for 9 month, but lately have been experiencing bouts of diarrhea on and off, but overall I've done very well on this treatment. My tumors have been shrinking and overall I feel fine! Just keep a good mind and a positive attitude! One day at a time is all EVERYONE has, enjoy your life all you can!! God bless!
Yes same experience with Ibrance and letrozole combo. Gastrointestinal side effects are very common specially indigestion and diarrhea-like episodes. Just be careful of what you eat and try to remember those foods that triggers GI problems. As long as side effects are manageable stay happy and pray for complete healing. God bless
