does Ibrance cause gastritis? FODMAP diet helps diarrhea from Ibrance.

I have estrogen positive MBC since 2018 and on Ibrance and Faslodex since that time. I have been in remission for 18 months. one year ago I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which showed severe stomach inflammation. My symptoms were persistent nausea and frequent diarrhea. I took a course of proton pump drug and felt better. My oncologist refuses to admit that Ibrance could be causing these symptoms. I continued with the Ibrance and thought I was doing better, until 1 week ago when I took Ibrance with a baby aspirin (prescribed for vascular problem. I became very ill 2 hours later with severe stomach pain, nausea and vomiting. It’s now 9 days later and I still can’t eat. I see GI specialist this week and then will see breast cancer specialist for further advice. I don’t want to stop Ibrance, as it is keeping me cancer-free. Of course, no more aspirin. Also, one year ago, I started on the FODMAP eating plan(on internet for for reducing intake of indigestible carbohydrates and it has really helped the frequency of diarrhea.

I have a whimpy stomach but Ibrance didn't seem to adversely affect me. Ibrance+Letrozol seemed to help with my lung cancer by shrinking/stabilizing the nodules. There are alternatives to Ibrance that may help and not affect your gastrointestinal tract. Your onc should at least let you know about them and possibly let you try a substitute.
