Sorry, Luann, I don’t have any experience with Kadcyla. Just had to comment on your beautiful sunflowers. Thanks for sharing the photo. Hope your new treatment is tolerable with relatively few side effects. Manon
No experience either, but I have accepted that change is difficult but needed as I’m sure you have also. When I had to leave my first line of treatment - I was acting like a big baby, lucky my bc nurse had a lot of patience with me!
I do hope you tolerate it well and that it’s kind to you. Read up on side effects and just do as much as you possibly can to prevent/reduce experiencing them. I did this and I’m tolerating Cape well, my focus was trying to avoid taking extra meds to prevent s/e’s! I don’t like popping pills - ironic I know 🙄
Love your sunflowers, beautiful. My favourite flowers are gigantic pink lilies
Hi, I switched from oerjuba and herceptin to Kadcyla. I stopped letrazole hormone treatment about 2 years ago. My choice as I couldn't stand the side effects and research papers stated that there was minimal benefit to post menopausal women.
I like Kadcyla. 38th cycle today. I get fatigue fora few days and muscle pains but the side effects are manageable. No hair loss.
Body scans have been NED since a few months of starting it. I did get a few mets in the brain (treated with gamma) but I believe that was because the treatment was halted for 10 weeks while I had a cataract operation.
Hi Luann, I’m sorry I don’t have any experience with those meds. I did want to comment on the beautiful sunflowers, they put a smile on my face, thanks for sharing! May this next line of treatment serve you well with manageable side effects and may you be on it for a very long long long time! Blessings to you! Liz
Hi Luann, Wow those are beautiful, cherry sunflowers. Thanks for sharing them. Did you grow them? I am on herceptin and fulvestrant now. But I may be recommended kadcyla soon. Really wishing you well and hope kadcyla works for a good long time. Take care.
No I didn’t grow these beauties I have a friend that is a flower farmer and I buy bouquets from her . Lucky me she lives only 10 minutes away .
Like everyone else I hate treatment change and fear the side effects that may come with a drug . I have been told that Kadcyla is generally well tolerated , I guess I will find out soon .
