Good news everything stable after latest scan and also oncologist happy that my pleural tumour has shrunk.
She is leaving me to Feb 2022 for next scan.
Lucky I’ve had minimum of side effects and able to work and play full time lol.
I do think changing my diet has helped me to feel a lot better. I have shopped at the local farm since diagnosed Nov 20 and my daughter, who is a dietician has helped me with ideas for healthy recipes etc.
I have a new found love of cooking from scratch now.
Celebrating tonight, made a shiitake mushroom frittata and cauliflower cheese.
Thankyou to everyone for your continuous support, this forum is the best.

Congratulations!🎉🎊🎈 I too believe a healthy diet can make a big difference. Hope your scans continue to show diminished tumor - at the very least that it will remain “stable”. Dinner sounds yummy - hope you continue the celebration! 🙏🏻
Congratulations - I’m so happy to hear stable, great news! Never realised what a wonderful word that was before now!!
I haven’t changed my diet completely but I am more conscientious about what I eat. I did try initially to change it, as you do when you get ‘the diagnosis’ but realised I wasn’t eating badly anyways! My aim is to eat well (I still have naughty stuff when I want, be active, control my weight and avoid stress!
Like you I’m still working and playing full time, but in limbo at the mo as I will be finding out if Ibrance is still working for me in the next few weeks - I’m praying for it to still be doing its ‘thing’!
I shall be picking up some shiitake mushrooms this weekend for sure 😉
Great news and able to keep working! That is so nice. Enjoy this break from scans right through Christmas. Another bonus. Wow! I think we all go to a better diet when diagnosed. I did for sure. I haven't gone to mushrooms but I understand they are supposed to be very good. Have to look into that. I agree this is a wonderful support system. So fortunate to have found it.
Well look at you go girl !!!! Such exciting news for you. I LOVE IT !!! I have changed my whole diet as well. More plant based, less fat and sugar. Helps when I was found to have high blood pressure day of my operation lol. So I eat so differently now. You are correct you feel amazing when you switch up your diet !!! I have also added meditation and daily exercise. It all helps with feeling great and happy.
Yes!!!! I too have changed my lifestyle of eating and getting exercise and had scans yesterday. I was diagnosed December of last year surgery to spine in January and did a complete turn around with eating and it has changed me. My scans came back and said my one tumor in spine was in measurable!!!! It works! I know it did for me. Keep it up, keep strong, keep fighting!
Yesssssss, and hoorayyyyy Sister/warrior. Blessings upon blessings, #1 great results, #2 you have taken charge of your health by eating, and cooking healthy delicious food, and #3 you are blessed to have a daughter who is a Dietician who is helping you prepare some delicious recipes. Blessingsssssssssss😇
So happy for your wonderful news. I am glad the meds are working and not giving you a lot of side effects. I also agree that changing diet is a very important part of doing well. I have cut out a lot of sugar and have been making better food choices. I had several treats the last few days as we were on a vacation and it definitely made me not feel that great so I am back to being good from now on. Hope you keep having great results!
can I ask how often your neutrophils went below 1 on the high dose? I’m struggling on 100 mg after 1 cycle. With below 1 neutrophils. I’m going to need to drop to 75 mg.
