My results after a year of being on Ibrance 125 mg

I had my scans done last month and after a year this month of being on Ibrance 125mg, Letrozole 2.5mg, and Zometa I wanted to share the news with everyone. My tumor on my Liver and T9 area of my spine has classified over. Also all but 2 of my Lymph Nodes have classified over. The tumor in my Breast has gone from 78 mm x 45 mm down to 10 mm x 8 mm. It has been a long year for me trying to adjust to the side effects of the Ibrance and Zometa but after getting my results I have to say it's been worth it. From what I have read about the Ibrance it is good for about 22 months and it stops working. Also please keep in mind that this is my first treatment of any kind for my Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has Mestesized. I am praying that my scans will continue to give me the results that I am hoping I will get. Thanks to everyone on this site that listen to me when I didn't think there was hope. Going through something like this alone has been hard, but my faith and you nice people have helped me to get through this past year.

This is also my first treatment for stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to the bone. I was diagnosed January 2016. My treatment has been Ibrance, letrozole and xgeva for the 28 cycles. Had my bone scan this week, all is stable and no new activity . Going strong , with few side effects,as I read about more and more women using this treatment for over 3 years. Congrats on your good scan results also

Glad to hear your good news. I have a question: what does "classified over" mean? I've been under treatment for MBC since 10/16, but I never heard that expression. Thanks.

It is where it is no longer active.

I think she may mean calcified over...new bone formation at the site of the bone mets.

Ibrance could be longer too. It’s a relatively new drug. They wanted to get it on market so trials haven’t been longer than 5 years to my knowledge. I’m crossing my fingers that they find more and more people sticking with it a long time. But just in case, there is verzenio that is also new to market. I’m relieved that big Pharma is focusing efforts on it. ❤️

I really do celebrate with you! That is such great news! I was also on Ibrance and Letrozole, for 18 months and early this year had to switch to Xeloda, as 2 spots on my liver propped up, Thanks to God and change of meds, they are gone. So doing what I have to do and trusting God has all control of my life and body😀 I’ m so happy for you and it’ s so good to the soul to read this kind of testimony on this site! God bless you and keep you safe in the palm of His hand

I got 15 months from Ibrance and I am now on Xeloda too. Grateful that we have these options and for people posting their success!

So great to hear this good news. I just started my second cycle with Ibrance and Letrozol. Miralax in my morning coffee. Wow nobody talks about this problem. So many of us on here that went through bc treatments yet still it came back, or never left and now is a stage 4.

Awesome news! I read that if the Ibrance stops working, taking 7 weeks off the medication, then starting it again kick starts it to work again. But I suspect you will be cancer free before that happens! Fight on warrior! Prayers for continued and complete healing!
