Immunotherapy clinical trials
Oh jeez I hope you get some replies… they are always worried about my Lob cancer spreading there but still no proof of that sneezy bastard. Let’s hope you get some replies so we can all benefit. Thanks for the question and sending hugs!
I am in a clinical trial with immunotherapy. It is specifically for er/pr- , her2+ breast cancer (stage IV) that has spread to other parts. Mine has spread to liver & lungs: I also take herceptin & perjeta with it. Lung Mets have shrunk 70%. I have been on it for 1 1/2 years.
Keep looking for trials - they really keep an eye on you and pay for many of the scans & appointments. Prayers🙏🏻
Here is a site to search specifically for trials for MBC: sharecancersupport.org/meta... put in some info and available trials will be displayed. You can speak with your doctor about any you might be eligible for.
I was on Keytruda for TNBC for about 2 years under a compassionate use program through Pfizer. It wasn't approved for BC but my Onc. was able to get it and I did that along with TAxol and later Taxotere. I switched taxanes because of neuropathy with TAxol. The Keytruda kept the tumors at bay for quite some time. I did Keytruda alone for a few times, but then the cancer progressed so I stopped it. While the side effects aren't quite as harsh as some chemotherapies, there were side effects involving my digestive system and throid that persist to this day and I've been off Keytruda for a year or so. I hope this helps you.
