COVID antibody results

Hello everyone! Just received my Covid antibody test results and after having COVID in 2020 and being fully vaccinated since MAY 13, my results came back negative for antibodies. I’m asking my doctor to submit an order for another test. According to the results it could be a “false negative”. I am on Ibrance 100 and Letrozole since 2017. Just wanted to share with everyone, I know results are different for everyone.

Hello there!

I’m so glad you shared that. It could be a false positive however that’s not the first I’ve heard of that happening with cancer patients

Hopefully your next test will give better results

I had breast cancer in 1993, recurrences through 2001. (all local) but I was told it was Stage IV in 1997. I doubt it. Then in Jan 2019 I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma (I am chemically sensitive and this is a cancer of toxicity). I took first Moderna shot and got 3 blood clots and a high fever. Was hospitalized for three days. 2 weeks later we hear that one or more of the vaccines cause blood clots. Related? I did report it. But now there are at least 2 studies that blood cancers cause vaccine to be less effective. I am going to have my blood checked for antibodies. Good wishes. Consider enhancing immune system with vit C, vit D, zinc. Some studies show value in dealing with vaccine and virus.

I take zinc,d3 and c plus others. My husband just tested positive for antibodies he did not get the vaccine nor do we remember him being sick

Another issue folks should be aware of, sometimes the lymph nodes swell from vaccine. Being mistaken for disease spread.

Like my post two weeks ago, my COVID antibody also tested negative. I am on Talazoparib which is parp inhabiter I assume is not immune therapy. Doctors told me the antibody test might be negative since mRNA vaccine is too new and may not show IGm or IGg on body. It might still have protection.

Gee, that's a little bit of a surprise. Will you keep us posted of the next results? I'm just letting myself start to venture out again. At least you recovered from Covid ok last year! That's good!

I will. My husband thinks it was a false negative and from what he has researched antibodies from the vaccine dont show up in serology test.

That is so disappointing to hear especially since you had Covid in addition to the vaccines. I have been reading many articles about the efficacy of the vaccines in cancer patients and it sounded like patients with solid tumors as opposed to blood cancers would have close to the protection of people without cancer. I hope the results were a false negative and that your next test will show antibodies.
