My son and daughter in law have been diagnosed with Covid today. The disease
Control contacted me and my partner to get a test today. We have all been very careful but my son was in my bubble.
I would appreciate anyone that has been in contact with someone with Covid to share your experience. Right now I'm not on any treatment since November . Once I got out of the hospital I needed a break.this is Bruce . He knocks at my door at least twice a week to say hello

Dear Shelby4nowYour situation alarms me for you and my heart is going out to you. I am sending strong wishes for you to get past this covid moment without any covid for yourself. Meanwhile, I hope your son and daughter-in-law get through their crisis.
What a great photo! Praying for you with the potential COVID exposure. I have heard of symptoms all over the map from simple sleepiness and loss of smell to days of fever. I am hoping you get the easiest version if at all.
I have never been afraid of the cancer journey but I am afraid of the Covid result. My daughter has gone and got her Covid test this morning. I
Have been around her daily because she gives me my shot for blood clots that have developed in my lungs. Do you know of any that husband or partners that have stayed negative . I sure hope so. I don't want to see him sick.
Have you upped your vitamin D? Faucci takes 8000 ius and it will give you a boost. There was a survey that people with a higher level of D had reduced symptoms. They really have a better understanding of how to treat it but if you tested positive and feel ok then that’s a good start. The only thing is the test itself is a bit iffy. Lots of false positives so hang in there. Hugs Chris
So sorry to hear this Shelby. I hope you will just have minor symptoms. My grandson and son-in -law had it and my daughter and other 2 grandsons living all together did not get it. My grandson had a bit of a stuffy nose and my son-in-law had a cough but the both lost their taste and smell for well over a week. So neither one got sick.🙂
I hope if you do have Covid that you have a mild case Shelby but it is such a worry . Keep us posted please on how you are doing . Sending positive thoughts . Luann
Thanks I will inform you as Soon as the cdc contacts me In Canada my understanding is they contact you after receiving a positive which I have now. They will inform me of infection dates and my release date tomorrow
Blessings on getting through the Covid. My husband had it and for some odd reason, I didn't get it and I'm the one immune compromised. He sailed through it. Felt like a low grade flu. Now Bruce is adorable ! I should have him meet Lucy our crazy girl elk who struts her babies around our Cabin for show .. and free lettuce leaves ! xoxo
I have heard of lots of cases where one person has covid and others in the household test negative. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme nor reason to it. All we can hope is that your symptoms are mild and you recover quickly.Hoping Bruce will cheer you up
Sorry to hear you tested positive for Covid. I'm glad Sandra shared something to read for you all to keep each other as well as possible. I would actually call your oncologist to let them know you have it. There are some meds that can be prescribed asap to help lessen the impact so this is quite important. Mine has told me that if I ever happen to get it to call their office immediately so they could help me so I would do this and not simply wait to see what symptoms you might develop.
Here’s a bright spot for you. My daughter’s husband got Covid but she didn’t. They are newly weds too. I was so surprised she didn’t get it.
There’s also some crazy meds that people are using here where I live that really helps to lessen the time of Covid. You can message me if your interested.
Update on mbc with covid. Just to let you know that my husband came down with covid 2 days later. He had alot of the side effects so his doctor asked him to get another test and this time he was positive. He was by far worse than I was. His chest was very tight and had a terrible cough . it seemed to have pasted but still has a headache and upset stomache. We both have 7 more days as we are on extended covid restrictions because Im immune sensitive.... Q UESTION. I would love to hear what you think regarding covid vaccines. I was told that once i had covid. I could not catch the virus up to 6 weeks, or pass it onto anyone else then I was to resume all protocols. I asked her if it would be like starting over and she said yes
So why do they not give all of the people that got covid a booster shot before the 6 weeks is up so we can not pass it on and that would drop
The numbers down. This information was given to be by... covid nurse .... Fraser health.... And doctors office. I just want you all to take care be safe.... All m🙏🙏🙏🙏 shelby
.. I just found that what I have been reading is different from what I have been told.
Hope you are both on the mend and soon feel a lot better ! I read that even if you had Covid , you should still have the vaccine , once you had clinically recovered (at least four weeks after the symptoms) as it’s still unclear if previous infection with Covid results in long term immunity. Take care! x
