hi. Has anyone got Covid gone off ibrance and feel worse. I am so tired it’s nuts. My blood work today was good although my tumor markers went up 3 points but I’m really nervous. Thanks so much. Marianne

I had COVID a couple weeks ago and stopped ibrance per my oncologist and he prescribed paxlovid. It took me a good 10 days to get my energy back and to top it off I got a UTI so now I’m on antibiotic and still haven’t resumed ibrance. It’s been rough - COVID really knocked me off my feet. You’re probably still recovering from COVID. It’s an awful virus.

thank you so much. Yes it has been awful. The lack of energy really scares me. It’s been a week since I tested positive and I feel awful. 💕

I am so sorry you are so fatigued and are struggling with your symptoms. I had Covid in January of 2021. I was already on my week off of Ibrance and was told to take an extra week off. I was lucky, I had very mild symptoms, it was mostly like a cold. When I went to get my next bloodwork my tumor marker had actually gone down a few points, which I was surprised to see. Infections can make markers go up. Doctors usually look for markers that are continually trending up, not just a one time rise. Sending hugs and prayers that you will soon be feeling better and get back on your feet.

Hope you recover very soon.

Hopefully a bit of 'tincture of time' will have you back to your pre covid level of wellnes. Hope your next scsns bring good news. Maybe the tumor markers are just a marker of inflamation.

I agree with JustMeMary that it is probably more related to Covid. I had Covid last summer and was off Ibrance briefly until my next scheduled Onc visit but the fatigue was extreme the whole time even though I consider my case mild due to all the vaxing. It took about 10 days before I started feeling better. Give yourself a little more time to bounce back.

I had COVID last year, stopped Ibrance for a couple of weeks, and took paxlovid. I concur that your fatigue is probably due to COVID. I had a terrible sore throat and lost my voice. It took a good 6 weeks to feel normal again, but I did recover. Back singing in the church choir!

Hi, I have been extremely tired since off Ibrance but do not have Covid. My blood reports were good so I am hoping I will perk up.

My onc never mentions markers to me.

I had covid before cancer. 2 months. Though I had long haul. Was sick for months. I was only really sick 1 day with covid but my fatigue and brain fog went on. Then 2 months AFTER COVID I noticed a mass. Not a lump a mass. But I didn't check up because no breast cancer in the family and descriptions of cancer had always been hard lumps no pain. This was bulbous and painful. I though maybe duct infection. I was a 42 year mom??then the holidays happened and I have a severely autistic son so my time was always crunched plus the crushing fatigue of long haul covid(btw I got 3 vaccines for) I just didn't have it in me to get to the doc til when my son was finally full time back in school. Went in for breathing problem and chest pains. Happened to mentioned the lump in my breast and my doctor looked horrified. With in the next month and endless tests. I had 3 masses in my breast, 2 tumors on lymph nodes and a lesion on my live, specs in my lung and a lesion on my spine.sorry long story. Stage 4. Boom. In 4 months??I've had to drop my I range from 125 to 75 because the exhaustion from that was crushing. Im only now starting to get life force. This week I finally get to see oncologist and hopefully get CT or MRI to see where my matastisis is at? Have been doing alternative therapies to boot. But I really haven't had normal energy since covid. And honestly I believe covid sparked my cancer growth.

I've had Covid twice, Spring of 2022 and Spring of 2023. Each time I was taken off Ibrance for a month cycle. The first case, I felt horrible and was rather ill with symptoms of Covid. The 2nd occurrence was much easier, but I was also prescribed Paxlovid (which is nasty to say the least!) It took a while for me to get to feeling better once I went back on Ibrance after Covid. My blood counts were very good but I think Ibrance took full affect and shocked my symptoms. I've been on Ibrance since January 2018 with really good results.
