I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for almost 3 years and lately I have noticed that my sense of smell has diminished. Do any of you have the same issue?

I’ve only been on Ibrance a short time - but also notice a change in my tastebuds- sometimes it’s even a bitter taste in the mouth. Things just don’t taste the same - but it’s great you’ve had 4 years of success with it- hope i have the same

I have been on these meds for almost 4 years. I have not experienced a change in either of those two senses. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Also, did you have Covid during this time as I know that can affect both of those senses and I have read that it can last a long time. I hope you get some answers. I am in Florida, too. Sending hugs and prayers.

You're in Florida too? How are you enjoying this hot, steamy summer?I did have covid in 2021, prior to taking these meds. I have not discussed with my oncologist yet, since it is fairly recent change.. I will next time I speak with him. We do Tele-health each month since I retained my NY oncologist when I moved to Florida.

Hi , Thankyou for your advice , I didn’t even think about Covid , I have had Covid , and I really think you are right about affecting smell and taste , I will discuss this with my oncologist next time I see her. ❤️

I still see your replies above. Thank you. I will speak with my oncologist as well, but I think in my case there isn't a connection to covid.

No I can't say my sense of smell has changed. I do seem more susceptible to oral thrush which at its worst make my mouth taste a bit strange. As Lovetogolf, my first thought when I read your post was covid

I'm sorry you are dealing with thrush, that can be awful. Since I had covid over 3 years ago, and change in smell is recent, I don't think they are linked. But if it's from the Ibrance I wonder why it's taken years to affect me. Anxious to hear what my Dr has to say. I see on here that I am not alone in this, which is the reason I love this site. Being able to share and not feel alone is great!

Did it take a while for that to happen? I have just noticed it recently and I've been on ibrance for almost 3 years.
