If I had to say something positive about this monsterous situation I'd say the chemo did make my face clear removing all of my pimples.

WendyMarie47,

I do hope you meant this to be (a bit darkly) humorous because it made me chuckle! :)

I admire your focus on the silver lining! :) I'm trying to think of something similar that I might have experienced ("enjoyed") when doing chemo.....I saved money on shampoo and haircuts?

I'm hoping that the chemo did a job on the cancer, too... :)

Yes of course. Actually the chemo shrunk my tumors. So that's the first positive. 😀

That is hilarious! Thank you for the laugh today. I appreciate your gratitude—no matter how small the blessings!

Sincerely,

Hi Wendy Marie,

I remember one of my friends who had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma saying how nice it was to not have to shave when she was on chemotherapy. She also said she "had to get cancer" to get free prescriptions! Prescriptions are free of charge in most parts of the UK (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) but in England most people have to pay. If you are a child, in full-time education, on income support, pregnant, over 60 or have a chronic health condition you don't pay. So cancer falls into a "chronic health" condition that exempts you from paying for prescriptions over here.

What kind of chemo worked for you?

Ibrance, Letrozole and Lupron shot once a month. Healthy fighting foods smoothy everyday. I believe the chemo don’t work alone we have to eat healthy and take vitamins.
