Fellow warriors, I hope everyone has a nice Easter weekend. I am going to spend my time listening to an online sermon and later on going to work. I am used to working 30-40 hours a week. My hours were cut to about 14 hours a week. I know many people are in similar situations. I am being provided for, thank you, Lord. I have struggles but I have things to be thankful for. An update on me is; just started my 4th round of Xeloda, 14 days on, 7 days off. I have more side effects with this treatment but the cancer markers are starting to go down. I am using Bag Balm for the hand/foot symptom (it helps) but I am going to combine it with using henna. Henna is said to relieve the discomfort. Doc suggested taking vitamin B6. I have anti-nausea meds which I am using. I am using CBC from time to time to relax. I have been on the keto diet, low carbs little or no sugar. Has anyone heard any negative feedback on cancer patients being on the keto diet? One of my kids gave me an early Easter present; a sugar-free chocolate Bunny (I'll enjoy every bite). I am beginning to enjoy the recipes. Lately, I have had a problem with burping more than normal. I need to dye my hair, I am looking like everyone's great-grandma. Any suggestions on hair dyes for thinning hair? I am thinking of you all.
Love and hugs,
Sue

I have blonde highlights put in and luckily got them done just before the lockdown started ! I am vegetarian (35 years) but eat dairy , but other than that I generally eat what I want ... a balanced diet with sweet treats too ! I haven’t done supplements or special diets to date( the only exception being the Adcal ( vit d / calcium tablets ) prescribed by my onc for my bone mets . Enjoy! x
I have had two rounds of Xeloda and struggle with the side effects, too. They got a whole lot better after reducing the dose. I found that ginger tea helps with the nausea much better than zofran. Also, I use Udderly Smooth with 20% urea on my hands and feet. So far, so good. I dye my hair with preference by L’Oréal. It’s probably harsh, but easy to use and inexpensive. I write down my food everyday in the MyFitnessPal app so I don’t overeat, but I’m not on a specific diet. Best of luck to you!
Enjoy your sugar free bunny. I didn’t get a chance to order any Easter things this year being isolated. It’s just my husband and my 24 year old daughter here so I think they will be fine lol. Have a lovely weekend. I have let my hair go grey so not sure which product would be the easiest in your hair.
