surgery update! 😭❤️

hello!

My mom had her surgery at 11am and got out at 1. It all seemed to go well since she will be coming home in a few hours, so same day release. Now I will be taking care of her until she feels better and processes all.

Update again. My dad just told me the doctor did the whole update and the doctor ran the lymph node test today too which i was shocked. And only took part of the breast as much as he could to prevent taking the whole breast. The lymph nodes were negative. God is great. We will follow up through next month. But i was so worried about the dyalisis and more treatments. I don't know what is next but takin it a day at a time.

It sounds like things went really well. The lymph nodes being negative is a fantastic piece of information and worth rejoicing over. Now you mom needs to heal and get back to normal. Your doctor will decide what steps to take next to prevent any reoccurrence of the cancer. Sometimes that means nothing further, sometimes it’s more, depending on the type of the cancer cells. I wouldn’t worry about it right now, just work on getting your mom healed up with no problems. Hugs, you are doing all the right things! Elaine

Also, I was content and so happy but it all changed and I am in the ER with my dad tonight. He is young and healthy but was feeling heart palpitations. So I left my mom and siblings at home and I am worried because she just came out of surgery today. I want a break from all this medical stuff Ay! Regardless, trying to stay positive

Hopefully, it is nothing major with your father and it could just be the stress of all that is going on with your Mom made him have an anxiety attack which really can feel like you are having a heart attack. You are a good daughter and you are doing the best you can and don't forget to also take care of yourself in this process. You are one person and can only do so much. If you need help, reach out for it with social services or some type of group that may be able to help you help your parents.

Hey! Terribly sorry to hear about you dad! Is he doing ok?? Hoping it was just all the stress from surgery day. 🤞

Glad to hear your mom made it thru the surgery and that the lymph nodes are negative. That really is wonderful news. Best wishes for a speedy and smooth recovery. ❤️

So glad the surgery went well. Negative nodes is great. The best to you and your family. Blessings Hannah

Well, that is good news and basically that is all any of us can do, just take things day by day and try not to look to far ahead about things that may not even happen.
