Hi all you lovely ladies. I had to have an unexpected chat with the oncology nurse today because my latest CT scan showed something strange in my lungs.....BUT the palbociclib and letrozole are working. I have been taken off pal and will see the oncologist in 8 days. By then he will have discussed my scan with a respiratory team. All very worrying. I don't want to stay off it but the breathlessness i experience....for months....and now the scan, are worrying. Any body else experienced this? I am on letrozole, xgeva and was on palbociclib.

Hi Rotagirl,
Gosh, I am truly sorry for what you're experiencing! The breathlessness must be just so stressful...on top of the worrying! I have to admit that I'm a bit confused by your post...you say the Palo+Let are working, but you're stopping the Palbo? Is that about blood counts?
For what it's worth, I have had several scans w/ "nit" (non-cancerous) in my lungs that the doc said were likely due to allergies...is it possible that you have an unrelated (or un-cancerous, e.g. I've read of rare lung issues from Palbo) lung issue that can be treated?
Please do keep us posted...best wishes to you...

Hi Lynnfish, thanks for replying. I have been taken off the palbociclib because my oncologist thinks it may be causing the lung problem plus breathlessness. I shall have to wait and see what he says in 8 days. Hope they can treat whatever it is and put me back on it! Cheers! Fay
Ah, okay, makes sense! I'm still caffeinating this morning so was slow in the uptake!
If Ibrance isn't an option, maybe they'll put you on Faslodex? But, again, I'm sorry for what you're experiencing...I hope you are successful in alleviating the breathing issues..
Hi. Is it a blood clot. I’ve been on blood thinners for 6 months to dissolve mine. Try not to worry. I know it’s not easy. Let us know how you go on 💗
I pray that in 8 days all will be well! I pray for peace for you while you wait for that appt. Love and hugs, Marianne
Sounds like your team is all over it. Sending prayers all is well. Glad your meds are working!
