Sore throat

Presently getting Doxil chemo. I have develop the worse sore throat. It is hard for me to drink water. The doctor gave me the magic mouthwash and also took me to use salt and baking soda. He also it might be acid reflux. I feel so miserable.

Hi I am taking IBRANCE for bone cancer on the neck (from bc met) and I am having same problem! I have laryngitis now + acid reflux! Please keep it moist, drink tea+ honey. Use humidifier. God bless you and all of us

Thank you for the info. I told my doc this must be working because it causing the most problems. The only thing we can do is pray and depend on each other. Thank you Zebra2018

Cool drinks, yogurt smoothie? I have bad esophagitis this month and found not eating heavy carbs like bagels and breads helps. So sorry!💕

Thank you. I have been making smoothie and the coldness seem to help. The throat seems to get sore in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning. Thank you again about the smoothies.

How about a cool mist humidifier for your bedroom?

Since this is occurring mostly at night, you might try sleeping with your head propped up on a couple of pillows rather than lying down flat. Your sinuses may be draining into your throat. Also, the tea & honey and any sore throat meds you are allowed to take right before bed.

I've been on Ibrance and letrozole for 7 m0nths now and can count on getting a sore throat most every time. usually the worst after about 12 days. it helps to drink warm beverages or ice cream seems to sooth it for me.

Thank you I will try it. Get my next treatment next Monday. This sore throat will make you fall to your knees.
