FYI Re medical marijuana

For those who are curious about this option, here is my feedback. I recently received a medical marijuana card in MA. Recreational marijuana is now available too in MA but the dispensary told me the recreational items aren’t as broad as medical. I bought a vape pen but — just like back in college when I tried weed a few times - I still find it too harsh. Not as harsh as actual smoking, but it’s not for me. I also never liked the “high” sensation so I prefer CBD oil which has very little THC. I take a small dropper of tincture each night. It helps me sleep and seems to smooth out my anxiety. I can take it during the day when I feel overwhelmed by this diagnosis. Because of the low THC ratio, it doesn’t affect functioning. You can’t overdose on CBD like you can with pharma drugs either! I didn’t bother buying edibles because they take too long to metabolize. The tincture provides relief within 20 minutes for me. Hope this helps my sister warriors.

That is so helpful. Our new Govenor will take over in Jan. And says he wants to legalize weed in Connecticut! Hope so!

Same here in New York. I don’t have access to recreational or edibles, so I have the tincture as well. For me, it’s a miracle. I now sleep really well, and feel rested when I get up. I haven’t experienced this in years. Zero side effects!

I recently started on a similar regimen because though I had found a PAX vaper that merely warms marijuana rather than burning it more tolerable, I wanted only a therapeutic level of THC so that I could safely drive and function during the day. Just starting but seems promising. Wish that we could get federal approval so safe to travel with medical marijuana lawfully obtained in my state. The process is also rather costly and likely prohibitive for many pain sufferers.

It's all legal here in CA so I have some CBD oil that I am starting to use to help with the anxiety. It seems to help. I take an anti-depressant that also helps with the anxiety but just hasn't taken in away. I take .25 xanax 3 times a day which I know is a low dose but would love to get off it. Thanks for the info.

I have heard that the CBD oil is from the hemp that they use for rope--and not from THC hemp--and contains no or very little THC. Therefor it is not regulated. Anyone hear the same? I have not tried it but a cousin uses it for pain with arthritis.

I’ve heard that as well from the medical marijuana dispensary. I just got approved.

Based on my personal exoerience, hemp

based tincture had a bad taste and isn’t as effective as CBD oil.

Aren’t there lots of CBD oils? Or only one kind?

in reply to lashinator

There are tons of different kinds. They have different levels of thc and are made from different strains of plants so it depends on what symptom you are trying to help as to what type of cbd oil you should try.
