There’s a new book on the market on RLS, published last year. “Navigating Life with Restless Leg Syndrome,” by Dr. Andrew Spector. He’s a friend and colleague of Andrew Berkowski.

…but the book is a great resource. It covers everything; the dangers of dopamine agonists, the importance of iron and how to read blood test results, the differences between RLS and neuropathy, why RLS can get worse after each pregnancy, non-drug treatments, what research has shown (or not shown) about dietary triggers, and a comprehensive list of drugs, including opioids. The manuscript was written before the Nidra device was approved for marketing, but he is prescribing it now and is very encouraged about the results. His patients (I’m one of them now, after an 8-month wait) say that the device is working.

Oh, thanks! I missed that. I read the other posts, and they are more eloquent than mine. But I do think the book is worthwhile for all of us.

Hi Sue, have we any further info about Dipyridamole, whic Dr. Spector talks about in his video and book? I'm interested in his combination of Gabapentin plus Dipyridamole.

I've located the study done with dipyridamole, and this was the summary: "CONCLUSIONSDipyridamole has significant therapeutic effects on both sensory and motor symptoms of restless legs syndrome and on sleep. Our findings confirm the efficacy of dipyridamole in restless legs syndrome predicted from preclinical studies and support a key role of adenosine in restless legs syndrome. © 2021 The Authors. I noticed that you found a prior post about Nidra. Here's the website; nidrarls.com/.

If you live in the US, you can write them to see if the device is available in your area.

Not what you're looking for?
