I've been following advice on here and taking iron bisgycinate usually with some orange juice before going to bed on alternate nights. However I haven't noticed any improvement in my RLS and I want to change to taking a vit C tablet instead of the juice as I can probably take that more consistently. However the only vit C on its own that I could find is 500mg tablets. This is more than the recommended 100mg but I wondered if it is a problem?

Vitamin C
While orange juice is high in vit C it is also very high in sugar which does you more harm than the vit C does good. You can reduce your requirement for vitamin C by reducing your carbohydrate (esp. grain based foods) intake which will also reduce your RLS.
Iron at night only seems to work for a small minority on here.
Amrob, you don’t really get it, do you? That it works at all (my count on here is up to about 30 and is likely closer to 40) is so VERY telling. When Manerva was on here he said it was theoretically impossible, ludicrous and just the placebo effect. I didn’t come up with the idea of the iron at night, I read the suggestion on a site like this one about 15 years ago. I believe I am the one who figured out why it works. But you keep dismissing it. When people can’t understand something, like Manerva, they dismiss it. It’s a defensive maneuver.
