I read that if you have RLS you might be short of vitamin B1. Has anyone knowledge of this.

Vitamin B1
Vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12, C, D3, K2, if deficient, and potassium and copper if deficient help RLS. Otherwise No.
What blood pressure medicine are you taking? Many make RLS worse. If so, I can give you safe substitutes.
Candersarten & olopodine & omeprazole which I know can cause RLS but only 10mg. Also tried everything else.
I couldn't find olopodine. Yes omeprazole is known to make RLS worse. Candersartan also makes it worse for some but not all. Some medicines that are safe for high blood pressure are propranolol (Inderal, Hemangeol, InnoPran) a beta blocker that may help RLS, Isosorbide Mononitrate (Monoket, Imdur) which is not a beta blocker nor calcium channel blocker. Other possibilities are: Clonidine (Catapres) an Alpha-2-Agonist used to treat high blood pressure which may help RLS and which also treats insomnia, tenex (Guanfacine, Intuniv), prazosin (Minipress) an alpha-adrenergic blocker that is also useful in managing sleep-related problems caused by PTSD and Tadalafil a vasodilator that in one study completely eliminated RLS. Discuss these with your doctor. And then there is reducing salt by 1 teaspoon a day nih.gov/news-events/nih-res....
I was having GERD issues and tried several PPI's and other remedies (like Gaviscon Advance). Saw a post here for this probiotic. There might be other causes, but starting about 2 weeks after I started using this, my GERD symptoms have been greatly reduced.
If you decide to try B1 it should never be isolated. Take a B50 which gives you the complete profile. I take one every morning. Though I don't see it helping my RLS. The B50 and been a tremendous help in reducing headaches.
If you have ever taken Flagyl, you are very likely to be highly deficient in B1, because it displaces it and takes up the receptors. Many who try to reverse this have trouble because when they start the B1, it shoves the flagyl back out into the system and causes symptoms that they think are from the B1, and they have to very carefully ramp up the B1 to achieve success. If you are interested, the colloquial term for flagyl damage is "moxxed" and you can search on that.
So have you ever taken Flagyl / metronidazole?
